What to Expect
The day will begin with a thorough briefing on sea cliff climbing techniques and safety measures. Location
This course is held in some of the UK’s most iconic coastal locations, such as Gogarth, Pembroke, and the Orkneys. These areas are known for their dramatic cliffs and beautiful coastal scenery, providing the perfect environment to hone your skills.
Gogarth offers challenging routes with exposed positions above the sea, while Pembroke has an array of technical climbs. The Orkneys provide a more remote setting, adding an extra layer of adventure to your climbing experience.
Prerequisites
You should be able to lead or second to a VS standard and be familiar with traditional climbing techniques, including belaying and ropework.
Coastal climbing can be physically demanding, so participants should be in good physical condition and comfortable with exposure and the challenges it brings.
