A deeper loop through Palmeraie palms and citrus groves gives you two hours in the saddle from Marrakesh, with hotel collection included. Helmets and riding kit are provided, and the pace suits a first ride rather than a fast desert trek.
Two hours in the saddle lets the Palmeraie unfold at a walking pace, with sandy paths threading between date palms and the scent of citrus drifting from nearby groves. The longer loop reaches quieter corners of the palm belt where village edges and Atlas views appear on clear afternoons.
There is a meditative quality to the ride, with hoofbeats steady on soft ground and shade moving across the track as the fronds shift overhead. The extended time in the grove gives a fuller sense of Marrakesh's green fringe than a short yard loop.
The Palmeraie is the palm belt on the northern edge of Marrakesh, with date groves, citrus trees and sandy tracks rather than the medina or the Agafay stone desert. Stables sit a short drive from the hotel strip, so you are riding between palms and orange groves within minutes of leaving the city.
Hotel collection in the Marrakesh area is included. The two-hour loop runs beneath palms, through citrus groves and along quieter desert-edge trails, with village edges and Atlas views on clear days. Exact tracks change with other riders and how dry the ground is.
No previous riding experience is required. Guides match horses to the group and keep the pace gentle, usually a walk with short easier stretches when everyone is settled. You should be happy to sit on a horse for about two hours and to follow spacing on a sandy track.
Say if you have ridden before, or if anyone is uneasy around horses, so the yard can choose a quieter animal. Long trousers and closed shoes are more practical than shorts and flip-flops. Mention ages when you confirm because two hours in the saddle is a long sit for a toddler.
The outing bundles hotel collection, about two hours in the Palmeraie, helmets and riding kit in one booking. You are not asked to add a desert camp, a medina tour or the shorter one-hour mint tea ride. Guides stay with the group on the track for the full grove loop.
If you want a longer Palmeraie ride from Marrakesh through palms and citrus rather than a quick yard loop, this format keeps the afternoon focused on the saddle. Two start windows let you pick the door-to-door window that fits your day when you confirm.
We'll collect you from your Marrakesh hotel and takes you to the Palmeraie stables. Be ready in the pickup window with closed shoes, long trousers and sun protection. Give your hotel name when you book so they can find the right gate.
Guides match horses, fit helmets and lead about two hours on sandy tracks between palms, citrus groves and quieter desert-edge trails. The pace is gentle, with village edges and Atlas views on clear days. Follow spacing and say if you want a quieter horse before you mount.
After the loop you transfer back to your hotel. Keep a little extra time either side of the three to four hour window so a late pickup does not squeeze the ride.
Yes. Collection from hotels in the Marrakesh area is part of this outing. Give your hotel name when you book so the driver can find the right gate, and be ready in the window you are given because traffic through the city and out toward the palms can slow the van.
A return to your hotel after the ride is part of the same transfer. Arriving late at reception cuts into time in the groves because the saddle window is about two hours rather than a full afternoon.
You spend about two hours in the saddle through the Palmeraie groves. Hotel collection, briefing and the drive back sit either side of that ride, so the whole outing is around three to four hours from reception to return, depending on traffic and which start you take.
Keep a little extra time either side so you are not rushing. This is a grove ride, not a half-day desert trek in Agafay, so plan the rest of the day around a focused morning or afternoon window.
Two start lengths sit on this outing. Both are about two hours in the saddle through the same Palmeraie groves, with hotel collection. One window is closer to three hours door to door. The other sits closer to four hours when the drive and briefing run longer.
Choose the slot that fits your day when you confirm. The riding loop itself is the longer grove outing, not the one-hour mint tea ride on a separate listing.
No previous riding is required. Guides match horses to the group and keep the pace gentle, usually a walk with short easier stretches when everyone is settled. You should still be happy to sit on a horse for about two hours and to follow spacing on a sandy track.
Say if you have ridden before, or if anyone is uneasy around horses, so the yard can choose a quieter animal. Follow the guide on mounting, reins and when it is safe to stop for photos.
Infants must sit on laps, which suggests very young children may be discussed, but two hours on a horse is a long sit for a toddler, and a sandy track is not a city pavement.
Mention ages when you confirm your place so the yard can advise. Pets are allowed, so say if you hope to bring an animal rather than arriving with one unannounced.
Wear long trousers and closed shoes that will stay on in the stirrups. Shorts and flip-flops are a poor match for a saddle and for sandy tracks between palms and citrus. A light long sleeve helps with sun on the groves.
Bring a hat that will not blow off, sunscreen and water for the drive. You do not need your own helmet. The yard provides riding kit. Leave loose scarves that could catch, and keep phones in a zipped pocket.
Lunch is not included on this outing. Eat before you leave the hotel if you will be out over a meal time. Extra drinks and snacks are your own to buy. Traditional Moroccan tea is a part of this ride.
Carry water if you want a drink between pickup and the groves. Do not plan a restaurant sitting at the yard. The two hours are for the loop through palms, citrus and desert-edge tracks.
The loop runs through the Palmeraie, the palm belt on the edge of Marrakesh, not the Agafay dunes and not a medina walking tour. You ride beneath palms, through citrus and orange groves, and along quieter desert-edge trails, with village edges and Atlas views on clear days.
Exact tracks change with other riders and with how dry the ground is. Treat it as a grove ride rather than a fixed sightseeing circuit with named stops. Ask at the yard if you want a slower photo pause when it is safe to halt.
Yes. Helmets and riding equipment are provided at the yard. You do not need to bring your own tack. Guides fit helmets before you mount and will swap a loose one if it sits poorly.
Wear a hairstyle that works under a helmet, and say if you have your own lid you prefer to use. Follow the yard on whether a personal helmet is accepted. Closed shoes still matter even when the kit is supplied.
The ride runs for one to fifteen guests. Smaller groups are common, but you should be ready to share the track with other booked riders rather than assuming a private horse for two.
Book for everyone who will ride, including children. Mention infants when you confirm, because they must sit on laps and a very young child is not always a good match for two hours on a moving horse.
