If you're looking to take on a new adventure or develop a fresh skill, our introduction to indoor climbing session is perfect for beginners and the slightly hesitant. This engaging and supportive experience is ideal for individuals, groups of friends, family outings, and even children accompanied by their parents. Under the guidance of an experienced instructor, you'll discover the joys of climbing while learning essential techniques in a safe environment.
During this introductory session, you'll start by learning how to properly fit a climbing harness and tie in to the rope for safety. Your instructor will guide you through basic belaying techniques, ensuring you understand how to securely manage the climbing rope. As you become familiar with these skills, you'll also gain insights into the climbing grading system, which helps in assessing the difficulty of climbs.
The session includes both roped climbing and bouldering, giving you a well-rounded introduction to indoor climbing. Roped climbing involves scaling a wall with safety harnesses and ropes, while bouldering focuses on climbing shorter walls without ropes, using crash mats for protection. This diverse experience will allow you to appreciate the fun and challenge of climbing in different ways.
