On the water the day is built around rhythm and breathing, with a full-day guided paddle from Meadfoot for adults who want time on the Geopark coast rather than a skills dump. The guide sets an unhurried pace so the group can notice the cliffs, the swell and the quiet between strokes. Kit is fitted on the sand before you leave the slip.
Meet on Meadfoot, get a buoyancy aid fitted, and hear how the day will run. Once everyone is settled, the guide leads an easy coastal loop with time to stop, breathe and look at the rock. Lunch is a shore break with your own packed food, then a return paddle at the same unhurried pace.
Typical days start mid-morning and finish in the late afternoon. We confirm the clock when we approve your date, and we may move the launch a short way along the bay if Meadfoot is awkward. Come a few minutes early so kit does not eat into the quieter first hour.
Meadfoot Beach sits on the English Riviera, with a slip launch and access to quieter bays and headlands when the sea is kind. The meeting point is Meadfoot Sea Road, Torquay, TQ1 2LJ.
If the forecast favours a nearby slip we send that pin before you travel. Parking notes sit with the confirmation. Pack as if you will be outdoors all day; there is no cafe stop built into the paddle.
Eighteen and over. No previous kayaking is needed, though a full day asks for enough fitness to sit in a boat and follow a brief for several hours. Be happy getting a little wet and spending time in an outdoor coastal setting.
Tell us any health notes when you request a date so we can plan breaks. Bring a packed lunch, plenty of water and layers for sitting on the shore.
The day is timed for an unhurried pace, not squeezed into a short taster slot. Guides on this coast know when to stay inside kinder water if someone needs a slower start.
Technical clothing is fitted before you launch, and the group stays together. Mixed confidence can share the same day without a long-distance plan.
Meet at Meadfoot Beach, Meadfoot Sea Road, Torquay, TQ1 2LJ, unless we send a nearby alternative pin. Parking notes come with your confirmation.
Look for the group on the sand near the slip. Come a few minutes early so kit and the brief stay on schedule.
No. The day is a guided paddle with a full brief on the sand, not a test of technique. First-timers share the same outing as people who already paddle a little.
Say if anyone is nervous so we can pair them and keep the first hour in kinder water.
About eight hours from check-in through to packing kit away, including shore breaks and lunch. Typical days start mid-morning and finish in the late afternoon.
Time afloat follows how the group is moving. The pace stays unhurried rather than chasing miles.

If we move a short way along the bay, the pin comes before you travel. Check messages the evening before.
Eighteen. The day is written for adults who want a full, unhurried paddle on touring craft, with time to settle into a rhythm.
Share any health notes when you request a date so we can plan breaks and pairings before you arrive at Meadfoot.
Between four and twelve, with a guide on the water throughout. Four people booking together is the usual minimum for this day.
Tell us your headcount in advance. Extra people cannot join on the sand without warning.
No. Pack a lunch and plenty of water. The shore break is time to eat and sit, not a catering stop on the beach.
Bring extra snacks if you get hungry between the morning paddle and the return loop, especially on a warmer day.
A kayak, paddle, buoyancy aid and technical clothing suited to the day. Everything is fitted on the sand before you launch.
Bring beach clothes, wet shoes and swimming gear if you want to get in. Leave valuables in the car unless you have a case you are happy to take on the water.
A packed lunch, plenty of water, beach clothes, a spare layer, wet shoes, sun cream, a hat and sunglasses. Swimming gear if you want to get in.
Transport to Meadfoot is not included. Pack a bag for wet kit at the end of the day.
Yes. The pace is deliberately unhurried, and we can pair with someone who wants extra reassurance or stay in kinder water for the first hour.
Say so when you request a date so we can plan craft and pairings before you arrive.
We move the launch a short way or shorten the loop if wind or swell makes the planned water unsafe. Rain alone does not stop the day.
We contact you as early as we can if the plan has to change. The goal is a useful, unhurried day, not a fight with the sea state.

Absolutely brilliant experience, would highly recommend to everyone!
Kieran was an organised, pleasant, knowledgeable and interesting tour guide. Also clearly, a very good kayaka. The only critique would be the size of the group. It was just too long to get everyone geared up and at the cave for all kayaks to go into and out. Otherwise a…
Great, good local knowledge, friendly instructor. Lots of wildlife and little adventures had. Recommend.
Amazing experience, would highly recommend to anyone!
Jose was very friendly and helpful! The bikes he provided were great for the price, and we enjoyed a unique gravel bike adventure in Spain. There were very few other companies offering gravel bike rentals. I would 100% recommend this adventure with Jose to any travelers in Spain looking to…
It was really enjoyable. I had never done kayaking before but after some short, simple clear instruction I was confidently making it way along the coastline. It was great to see things from the water you would've otherwise have been able to get a view of. I would definitely do…
Excellent day out with super efficient Kieran and Sam. Even a novice like me finally cracked the code to a good kayaking. The caves, guided tour on geological formations punctuated by marshmallow roasting and fossil hunting truly enhanced the overall experience. Would love to do it again. Plus - a…
