No prior experience is necessary! The Learn to Wakeboard course is designed for complete beginners. Our friendly, qualified instructors will guide you through the basics and help you progress step by step.

The course fee of £135 includes 3 sessions (Taster, Improvers, and Progression Clinic), all equipment (wakeboard, wetsuit, impact vest, helmet, and buoyancy aid), and full instruction from our experienced BWSW-trained instructors. You also have access to on-site facilities such as hot showers, changing rooms, lockers, and a café.

Each Taster and Improver session lasts for 1 hour and is shared by up to 3 people. The Progression Clinic is 30 minutes long and shared by up to 2 people. This small group size ensures you receive plenty of individual attention and coaching.

You’ll start with the basics, such as stance, dock starts, and riding in a straight line. As you progress, you’ll learn how to turn on our System 2.0 Cable, improve your balance, and eventually master techniques like 180s, riding switch, and ollies. By the end of the course, you’ll be ready to ride the cable independently.

Don’t worry! Wakeboarding can take a bit of practice, and we’ll work with you to ensure you feel comfortable and confident on the board. Our small group sizes and patient instructors mean you’ll get plenty of support. Plus, with three sessions to help you progress, success is guaranteed by the end of the course.

We run wakeboarding sessions in most weather conditions, including light rain. However, if it’s extremely windy or if there’s a lightning storm, we may need to cancel the session for safety reasons. In the event of a weather cancellation, we’ll reschedule your session at no extra cost.

This course is designed for participants aged 14 and over. For children under 14, we offer specialised kids' wakeboarding sessions or private cable hire. Please contact us for more information.

You have up to 2 years from the date of purchase to complete all three sessions. We offer flexible scheduling, so you can book sessions at times that suit you. The course runs from April to October, with sessions available on weekends and some weekday evenings.

Hove Lagoon offers full on-site facilities, including changing rooms, hot showers, lockers, and a café where you can grab refreshments. We also provide disabled access, ensuring everyone can enjoy their wakeboarding experience comfortably.

You can book your sessions directly through our website. If you can’t find a suitable time or have any questions about availability, feel free to contact us, and we’ll help you schedule your lessons at a convenient time.

Start by choosing your first session to purchase your package, and we can book in your other dates after that.
