The Wakeboard Taster Session at Hove Lagoon is the perfect way to dive into the thrilling sport of wakeboarding. This fun and engaging session is designed for complete beginners, and success is guaranteed! Whether you’re looking to try something new or begin your wakeboarding journey, our taster session will get you up and riding in no time. All equipment is provided, so all you need to do is turn up and enjoy the experience with guidance from our professional, BWSW-trained instructors.
Your session will start with a brief on-land demonstration where we’ll teach you the basics of wakeboarding, such as how to get up on the board, maintain balance, and the correct stance. Then it’s time to hit the water! Using our state-of-the-art System 2.0 Cable, you’ll practise riding in a straight line, starting from the dock or the water. By the end of the session, you’ll have experienced the excitement of wakeboarding and will be able to ride confidently in a straight line. If you want to progress further, you can upgrade to our full Learn to Wakeboard package.
All wakeboarding sessions take place at Hove Lagoon, a shallow and sheltered body of seawater located near Brighton’s seafront. This safe and controlled environment is perfect for learning wakeboarding before progressing to more advanced challenges.
Participants need to be water confident and able to swim. No previous wakeboarding experience is required. For children under 14, we recommend checking out our dedicated kids' wakeboarding sessions or booking a private lesson.
