Bespoke Climbing/Abseiling Courses

Sessions are held in various locations across the South West. The exact meeting point is chosen based on your location and preference, ensuring convenience and access to exactly what we need.

The venue also depends on which discipline you choose, since some are better suited to outdoor crags and others to indoor walls.

A bespoke course is a fully tailored climbing session designed around your specific needs and skill level. Before arriving, you will have the chance to discuss the areas you would like to focus on, whether that is sport climbing, trad climbing, bouldering or abseiling.

The course is then shaped to suit your preferences, so you get the most relevant instruction rather than a generic overview.

All necessary climbing equipment, including harnesses, ropes and belay devices, will be provided as part of the session.

It is worth bringing your own climbing shoes if you have them, though these can be hired if needed, along with comfortable, weather appropriate clothing.

Yes, the bespoke course works well for climbers of all levels. Whether you are completely new to climbing or have plenty of experience, the session can be tailored to match your ability.

Beginners typically focus on the basics, while more experienced climbers can work on refining technique or exploring new challenges.

Yes, the course is designed for small groups, so you can book a private session for one person or bring a friend along for a 1 to 2 ratio session.

This means both of you benefit from the same tailored instruction rather than splitting attention across a larger group.

Yes, many bespoke sessions mix disciplines, such as starting with sport climbing before moving into some bouldering or abseiling practice.

Just mention what you are hoping to try when arranging your session so the day can be planned around a realistic mix.

The half day option suits a focused session on one or two specific goals, while the full day allows time to properly explore multiple disciplines or dig deeper into a single one.

If you are unsure which length suits your plans, mention what you would like to cover and this can help guide the choice.

Booking ahead gives more flexibility around dates and venues, particularly for outdoor sessions where weather and daylight need to be considered.

That said, get in touch even for shorter notice requests, since availability sometimes allows for a session to be arranged more quickly.

If conditions are not suitable for the chosen outdoor venue, the session can move indoors or be rescheduled to a different day.

Your instructor keeps an eye on the forecast in the lead up to your booking and will get in touch early if any changes are needed.

After booking, you will be contacted to discuss your goals, preferred discipline and availability before a date, venue and session length are confirmed.

This conversation is what makes the course genuinely bespoke, since the plan is built around your answers rather than a fixed template.
