Indoor Climbing Sessions for Improvers

Sessions are held in various locations across the South West. The exact meeting point is chosen based on your location and preference, ensuring convenience and access to exactly what we need.

Most venues offer both bouldering and roped climbing, so there is scope to work on a range of skills.

Yes, this session is designed for those with some climbing experience who want to improve their skills and confidence. It picks up where the basics leave off, focusing on refinement rather than starting from scratch.

If you are completely new to climbing, take a look at the taster session listed alongside this one, which is a better starting point.

Yes, group bookings are welcome for up to 4 participants, whether that is a team activity, a group of friends or a family looking to progress together.

The session will be customised to match everyone's skills and goals as closely as possible.

All essential climbing and safety equipment, such as harnesses and belay devices, is provided as part of the session.

However, if you have your own climbing shoes or chalk, feel free to bring them along to get used to your own gear.

Wear comfortable, flexible clothing that allows for a full range of movement, since you will be reaching and stretching more than in everyday activity.

Climbing shoes are recommended for better grip and performance, but if you do not have any, the instructor can advise on suitable alternatives.

The taster session introduces complete beginners to indoor climbing from scratch, covering harness fitting and the very basics of movement.

This session assumes those fundamentals are already in place and focuses instead on belaying technique, route reading and more efficient climbing movement.

The session is booked per hour, with options of 1, 2 or 3 hours depending on how much coaching time you want.

Longer bookings allow more time to work through belaying, movement and fall practice in proper depth rather than rushing through the basics.

Coaching is personalised to you or your small group rather than run as a general class, so feedback is specific to your own technique and goals.

This means sessions can be adjusted on the fly if something is working particularly well or needs more attention.

Yes, plenty of climbers use indoor sessions purely to build fitness and technique without any plan to climb outdoors, and that is a perfectly good reason to book.

If you do want to transition outdoors eventually, this session builds a solid foundation for that step too.

After booking, you will be contacted to arrange a date, time and venue that fits your availability and preferences.

This gives you the chance to mention what you would like to focus on before the session itself begins.
