Discover the rich marine life of Dibba Al Fujairah on a guided boat dive trip offering two dives at carefully selected sites. These waters are known for healthy reefs, thriving fish life, and reliable visibility, making the region an excellent choice for certified divers looking for varied underwater terrain. This listing covers both morning and afternoon departures, allowing divers to choose a schedule that suits their day.
Each trip includes two guided dives, refreshments onboard, and a relaxed cruising route along Fujairah’s mountain-lined coastline. With small-group ratios and experienced instructors, divers receive focused guidance and a safe, well-organised experience from start to finish.
Your trip begins with registration and equipment preparation before boarding the dive boat in Dibba. The route follows the dramatic coastline, passing bays and rocky outcrops on the way to the day’s selected dive sites. Instructors provide a clear briefing covering depth, expected marine life, entry/exit procedures, and safety signals. With two guided dives planned, the trip is structured to give divers ample time underwater while maintaining relaxed surface intervals.
Underwater, Dibba’s reefs offer hard coral structures, sandy patches, and ledges that support a wide range of fish species. Many of the sites feature turtles, rays, moray eels, and shoaling reef fish. Wreck sites may be included depending on conditions and diver certification. Small groups allow instructors to maintain close awareness of air consumption, buoyancy, and navigation, enabling divers to get the most from each dive.
Surface intervals are spent onboard with soft drinks, water, snacks, and shaded seating. Instructors provide feedback between dives and monitor conditions to ensure the best site selection for the second descent. After the final dive, the boat returns along the scenic coast, and divers are assisted with equipment packing and logging their dives. Optional add-ons such as Nitrox, premium equipment, underwater photography, and transportation are available.
Dibba Al Fujairah sits on the northeastern coast of the UAE, offering direct access to some of the country’s most productive reef systems. The area benefits from deeper offshore access and cooler water inflows, supporting a wider range of marine species compared to many inshore sites. The sheltered bays provide consistent diving conditions year-round, making it a reliable choice for recreational diving.
The departure point is easily accessible by road, with both shared and private transport options available. The marina provides quick boarding access, and the journey to the dive sites is generally short, allowing most of the trip’s duration to be spent underwater rather than in transit. The dramatic mountain backdrop adds to the overall experience both on the surface and underwater.
All divers must hold at least a Scuba Diver, Open Water Diver, or Junior Open Water Diver certification (or an equivalent qualification). Divers must be in good general health, able to swim, and familiar with basic scuba skills. A completed dive medical questionnaire may be required.
Residents must bring a valid Emirates ID or passport. Travellers must bring their original passport. The minimum age for participation is 10 years old, and all divers should be comfortable diving from a boat environment with normal surface conditions.
Dives are conducted in small groups to ensure individual attention and a safer in-water experience. The team places strong emphasis on briefings, environmental awareness, and site selection, enabling divers to explore Fujairah’s reefs with confidence. Whether practising buoyancy, improving navigation awareness, or simply enjoying the marine life, divers benefit from structured and attentive guidance.
We also maintain high-quality equipment standards, regular servicing routines, and clear safety procedures. Refreshments and comfortable onboard spaces provide a relaxed atmosphere during the trip. With years of local knowledge, instructors choose sites that match conditions and diver experience, offering a dependable and well-run dive day.
Both trips offer two guided dives, but the morning trip typically departs at 8:30am while the afternoon trip begins at 1:30pm. Visibility conditions often vary with the time of day, with mornings sometimes offering calmer surface conditions. Afternoon trips provide warmer lighting underwater and a more relaxed start to the day.
The inclusions differ slightly; the afternoon trip includes tanks and weights as standard. Divers can choose their preferred slot depending on availability, weather, and personal preference.
Divers often encounter turtles, rays, moray eels, lionfish, cuttlefish, and large shoals of reef fish. The reefs also support nudibranchs, shrimp species, and healthy coral growth. Depending on site choice and conditions, macro opportunities are often excellent.
The region is one of the UAE’s richest marine environments due to its position near deeper channels and cooler offshore inflows, supporting a wider habitat range than many inshore locations.
Dive duration depends on air consumption, depth, and conditions. Most dives last between 35 and 50 minutes. Instructors monitor air use and guide the group accordingly.
Surface intervals vary depending on site distance and conditions, usually lasting 30–45 minutes while the boat repositions or anchors.
Yes, the sites selected are generally appropriate for newly certified divers, with depths that align to recreational training limits. Instructors assess diver comfort and may adjust site choices or dive profiles accordingly.
More experienced divers may be taken to deeper or more varied locations if conditions permit. Safety and comfort always guide the decision-making process.
Standard equipment rental is not included unless specified. Divers can choose normal or premium configurations, Nitrox tanks, dive computers, and accessories such as mouthpieces or torches. Premium systems include a full DIR setup for divers wanting a streamlined configuration.
If you prefer using your own equipment, instructors can check it for suitability before departure.
Yes. All divers must bring either an Emirates ID or passport, depending on residency status. This is required due to the border zone and local regulations in the Dibba region.
Travellers should ensure they bring their original passport, not a copy.
Bring swimwear, a towel, footwear suitable for boat surfaces, and an extra set of clothes. A refillable water bottle is useful, although soft drinks and water are provided. Cameras are allowed if secured properly.
Avoid bringing valuables that may be affected by water exposure or movement on the boat.
Transportation is available as an add-on. Options include per-person shared transport or private transport for groups. These options are useful for divers without a car or for those travelling from Dubai or Abu Dhabi.
Divers driving themselves should allow extra time for the checkpoint area and marina parking.
Instructors choose sites based on weather, currents, visibility, diver experience levels, and marine activity. Flexibility helps ensure the best possible conditions on the day. Some reefs perform better in certain tidal states, and instructors adjust plans accordingly.
Safety considerations are always prioritised when deciding whether to enter a site.
Yes, children aged 10 and above may join, provided they hold the appropriate Junior Open Water certification. Younger divers typically follow shallower, more conservative profiles to match their training requirements.
A parent or guardian must accompany minors on the trip, and instructors monitor their comfort closely throughout the dives.
