Participants must be at least 12 years old and comfortable with swimming. No prior freediving or advanced snorkeling experience is required, making this course suitable for those new to the sport or looking to build on basic water skills.
All necessary freediving equipment is provided. This includes a freediving mask, snorkel, fins, wetsuit, and weight belt. Participants are asked to bring their own swimwear and a towel.
Safety is our top priority. The course is conducted by certified instructors with comprehensive training in freediving safety and rescue. Participants are insured for the duration of the course, and all activities are conducted following strict safety protocols.
Yes, due to the physical nature of freediving, participants should be in good health. Conditions like asthma, heart problems, or severe ear issues may prevent safe participation. We require a medical questionnaire to be filled out prior to the course, and a doctor’s clearance might be necessary for certain conditions.
Participants should bring swimwear, a towel, sunscreen, water, and snacks. All other freediving equipment will be provided. It's also recommended to bring a change of clothes for comfort after the course.
The course takes place in Portrush, and we will meet at the Portrush Atlantic Hotel.
Participants are asked to arrive 15 minutes before the scheduled start time to ensure prompt commencement of the course. The entire course lasts approximately 4 hours, including brief intervals between sessions.
The safety and enjoyment of our participants are paramount. In the event of adverse weather conditions, the course may be rescheduled for a later date. Participants will be notified as early as possible and offered the option to reschedule or receive a full refund.
