Combining experienced mountain guides with carefully planned daily stages, the trek offers an enjoyable way to explore one of Morocco's most biodiverse mountain regions.

Later in the day, there's time for a short hike to the Spanish Mosque, where panoramic views across Chefchaouen make it one of the best places to watch the evening light over the surrounding mountains. Dinner and overnight accommodation are provided in a traditional riad.
Following breakfast, the trekking begins as you leave Chefchaouen and enter Talassemtane National Park. Walking through forests of Moroccan fir and passing rural mountain homes, the trail gradually climbs into the heart of the park.
After lunch at the Talassemtane guesthouse, you'll have time to explore the surrounding village before enjoying dinner and an overnight stay in a mountain guesthouse.
Today's route ventures deeper into the Rif Mountains, following mountain paths through dense woodland and varied vegetation that make this national park one of Morocco's richest natural environments.
A picnic lunch is enjoyed along the trail before continuing towards Azilane, where another welcoming guesthouse provides accommodation for the evening.
Leaving Azilane behind, the trail heads towards the remarkable Pont de Dieu, a natural limestone rock arch carved over thousands of years. Surrounded by rugged mountain scenery, it is one of the geological highlights of the national park.
After spending time exploring the area, the route continues to Akchour where you'll spend the night in a mountain guesthouse after another rewarding day on the trail.
Today's walk follows the river through beautiful woodland towards the famous Akchour Waterfalls. The route combines shaded forest paths, clear streams and mountain scenery before reaching the waterfalls, one of northern Morocco's best-known natural attractions.

Yes. This itinerary is graded as easy to moderate, making it one of the more accessible multi-day trekking holidays offered in Morocco. While you'll be walking for several hours each day, the terrain is generally less demanding than high-altitude mountain routes such as Mount Toubkal or Mount M'Goun.
A reasonable level of fitness is still recommended, but previous multi-day trekking experience is not essential. Anyone who regularly enjoys countryside walks and is comfortable hiking for several hours should find the route enjoyable.
Talassemtane National Park is one of Morocco's most important protected mountain areas and is home to rare forests, dramatic limestone cliffs and a wide variety of native plants and wildlife. Its cooler climate and greener landscapes create a very different atmosphere from the country's desert and High Atlas regions.
The park is also known for its peaceful trails and quieter surroundings, making it an excellent choice for walkers looking to explore Morocco away from its busiest trekking destinations.
Yes. The itinerary includes time at both the beginning and end of the trip to discover Chefchaouen's famous blue-painted streets. Your guide will introduce you to the medina, kasbah and main square, while free time allows you to explore independently.

Pont de Dieu, also known as the Bridge of God, is a remarkable natural limestone arch formed by thousands of years of erosion. It is one of the best-known geological landmarks in the Rif Mountains and a highlight of the trekking route.
Its impressive size and dramatic mountain setting make it one of the most photographed natural attractions within Talassemtane National Park.
The waterfalls are reached by following well-established mountain trails through beautiful woodland and alongside the river. Although the walk involves several hours of hiking, the route is suitable for most people with a moderate level of fitness.
The surrounding scenery, river crossings and forest paths make the journey just as rewarding as reaching the waterfalls themselves.
You'll spend the first and final nights in traditional riads in Chefchaouen, while accommodation during the trekking section is provided in welcoming mountain guesthouses located along the route.
These smaller properties provide a comfortable place to relax after each day's walk while allowing you to experience local hospitality in the heart of the Rif Mountains.
