Please arrive with swimwear already on underneath your clothes to save time when changing. You should also bring a towel, sunscreen, and warm dry clothes for afterwards. Enthusiasm and a positive attitude are essential!

If you have any medical equipment that you need to bring, feel free to bring it with you, and we'll ensure it's safely stored in a waterproof bag during the lesson.

Yes, the surf school is conveniently located next to the main beach car park in Perranporth, also known as Car Park on the Promenade (TR6 0JN).

This car park is easily accessible and right by the beach, making it simple to park and head straight to your lesson.

You will meet at our base, located in the old Men's Institute building in Perranporth. This is where you'll change and get ready for your lesson.

Although we do not have lockers, we provide storage boxes for your personal belongings. Please avoid bringing valuables, but if needed, we can safely store precious items for you.

Rain doesn’t stop us from surfing! In fact, surfing in the rain can be a lot of fun. However, if the conditions (including wind or sea conditions) make it unsafe or unsuitable to surf, we will contact you as soon as possible to let you know.

We always prioritise safety, so if a lesson is cancelled, we will work with you to reschedule or offer an alternative activity if available.

We welcome children from the age of 7 for our lessons, as long as they are comfortable in the water and can follow instructions. Please note that a parent or. guardian must be in the surf assisting their child.

Our instructors are skilled in working with younger surfers, ensuring a fun and safe experience. If your child is new to surfing, they’ll be in great hands!

Weeverfish can be found in some areas, particularly in the summer months during low tide. While they can cause discomfort if stepped on, they are not dangerous.

If you're concerned about stepping on one, just let us know, and we can provide a pair of boots for extra protection. Despite this, we still consider surfing safe and enjoyable!

Yes, Perranporth is a lovely seaside town with many places to eat and drink. There are a variety of cafés, restaurants, and shops where you can grab a bite before or after your surf lesson.

Whether you want a coffee, a snack, or a full meal, you'll find plenty of options right by the beach.

Not at all! For beginners and improvers, we only go out to waist or chest-deep water, so you don’t need to be an expert swimmer.

We have had customers with little or no swimming experience, and they’ve still enjoyed the lesson.

If you’re particularly concerned, a private lesson with one-on-one coaching could be a better option for you.

Yes, Perranporth beach is very dog-friendly!

Dogs are allowed on the beach all year round, although in July and August, they are required to be on a short lead in the main area of the beach. Past this point, dogs are free to run off-lead. It’s a great spot for your furry friends to enjoy a day out as well!
