Marrakech's two great mornings in one outing: a silent hour above the foothills as the sun rises, then the unhurried sway of a caravan through the palm groves at walking pace. Private pickup from your riad, mint tea at the launch field, and back to your door before midday.
The morning starts before light with a private transfer to the launch field. Sweet mint tea and pastries arrive while the envelope fills and dawn edges the sky. You drift for roughly an hour as the Atlas turns rose-gold below, then land for a traditional Berber breakfast in a caidal tent.
A short transfer brings you to the Palmeraie for a gentle 45 to 60 minute camel ride at caravan pace through the palms. No quads, no engines, no hurry. Your driver returns you to your riad door with the rest of the day still ahead.
We partner with a licensed balloon operator whose pilots never bend weather rules, and with a camel partner chosen for animal welfare as much as guest experience. Private transfers, breakfast, and the camel trek are coordinated as one seamless morning.
Quad bikes and ATVs are never added to this outing. The desert's magic is its silence, and that is the pace we keep from pickup to return.
Your private driver collects you at your riad door while the medina is still quiet.
The transfer takes you north to the launch field with time for tea before the balloon is ready.
Roughly an hour aloft as the sun rises and the Atlas foothills turn rose-gold below.
Licensed pilots and ground crew manage the flight; weather decisions are never compromised for a booking.
A landing celebration and traditional breakfast in a caidal tent before the next leg of the morning.
This is the natural pause between flight and the slower pace of the palm groves.
A short transfer to the palm groves for a gentle 45 to 60 minute ride at caravan pace.
No quads or engines are part of this outing. The route is chosen for calm, scenic riding among the palms.
Your private driver collects you from your Marrakech hotel or riad at an agreed time before light. Many riads sit on pedestrian lanes, so the driver may park nearby and meet you on foot.
Share your accommodation name and a mobile number when you enquire so pickup can be planned accurately. You return to the same riad door after the camel trek.
We work exclusively with a licensed, safety-certified operator. Pilots will not fly in weather that falls outside their operating rules, and ground crew follow standard pre-flight checks before every departure.
If conditions are unsuitable on the morning, the team contacts you as early as possible to reschedule or adjust the plan rather than rushing a flight that should not happen.
Yes, and we check. Our camel partner is selected for animal welfare standards as well as guest experience, and we revisit that relationship if standards slip.
If you have questions about how the animals are kept or worked, ask on your planning call and we will answer directly rather than giving a generic assurance.
No, and not ever. It is a question we are sometimes asked, and the answer does not change because motorised add-ons would alter the whole character of the morning.
The Palmeraie section is a walking-pace camel trek through the palms, not a motorised desert outing, and we keep it that way on purpose.
Pickup is before light, typically around 5:30am depending on season and your riad location within Marrakech.
Exact timing is confirmed when your date is set. You are usually back at your riad around late morning, with the rest of the day free.
Children are welcome when accompanied by a responsible adult, subject to the balloon operator's minimum age rules on the day.
Share the ages of everyone travelling when you enquire so we can confirm suitability before you book rather than on the launch field.
Layers work best for the cool pre-dawn start and warmer mid-morning finish. Closed-toe shoes are sensible for the launch field and camel mounting.
Sun protection is useful after landing. A hat that stays on in the balloon basket is helpful, and a light jacket is worth packing even in warmer months.
Yes. Many guests add this outing to a longer Marrakech trip or as a surprise for someone travelling with them.
Mention your wider plans when you enquire and we can advise on timing around other activities, restaurant reservations, or medina tours.
Yes. Private pickup from and return to your Marrakech riad or hotel is included in the price quoted.
International flights and travel to Marrakech are not included, and any accommodation before or after the morning sits outside this booking.
Balloon flights depend on wind and visibility. If the operator cannot fly safely, they reschedule or offer an alternative plan that keeps you informed throughout.
The camel trek may still run when conditions allow. We would rather tell you the night before than leave you standing at the launch field unsure what happens next.
Send a booking request with your preferred date and riad details. The team confirms availability and pricing before anything is charged.
For surprises or special arrangements, start with a message rather than a standard request and we will set up a private planning channel with the organiser only.
