This programme equips you with the training and knowledge needed to safely freedive with a buddy in open water environments, reaching depths of up to 20 metres. Upon completing this course, you will earn the SSI Freediving certification, marking the start of your exciting underwater journey.
The SSI Freediver course covers the following skills:

This course will take place across two locations. We will complete day one at Hatfield Swim Centre, where we will focus on theory and confined water training. On the second day, we will meet at Wraysbury Dive Centre, for the open water component of the course.

The SSI Freediver Course is a beginner-level programme designed to teach you the fundamentals of freediving. This course provides the necessary training and knowledge to safely freedive with a buddy in open water environments, reaching depths of up to 20 metres. Successful completion of the course earns you the SSI Freediving certification.

The course fee does not include equipment. You will need a freediving mask, fins, and swimwear (wetsuit/rash-vest, weight belts). Equipment can be hired on a first-booked, first-served basis - you can add this when you book dor £35. Note that scuba fins, snorkel fins, masks, and drysuits are not suitable for freediving.
The course costs £330.00. This fee includes all theoretical and practical instruction, small group training, and the SSI Freediving certification. An additional £15 entry fee to the lake on the second day is not included in this price. Equipment rental can be added for £35 per person when you book.
Upon successful completion of the SSI Freediver Course, you will receive the SSI Freediving certification. This certification confirms that you have acquired the necessary skills and knowledge to safely freedive up to 20 metres with a buddy.
