This course is designed to equip you with the skills needed to skipper your own or chartered boat. It combines practical sailing experience with theory lessons, helping you achieve an internationally recognised qualification. Over the course of five days, you'll build confidence in navigation, sailing techniques, and managing a boat, making this ideal for those wanting to gain a solid foundation in skippering.
Throughout the five days, you'll get hands-on sailing experience, practising key skills such as navigation, route planning, and boat handling. Your instructor will guide you as you take control of the boat, with plenty of opportunities to practice steering, adjusting sails, and managing a crew. You'll sail to different marinas and ports, learning to anchor safely and manage overnight stays, such as in sheltered locations like Tossa De Mar.
You'll also have the chance to develop your navigation skills, using charts and other tools to plan and execute your routes. The course will take you to some beautiful locations along the Costa Brava and Costa Dorada, allowing you to enjoy the stunning scenery and gain practical knowledge of coastal sailing. By the end of the course, you’ll be prepared to take the helm of a boat confidently, ready to start your own sailing adventures.
