We had a fantastic time! The Skipper was brilliant and carefully tailored the experience to suit all the passengers needs. It was safe, exciting, interesting and a lot of fun. Thank you

We do gift vouchers of £100, the full value of a Powerboat Level 2 course, or a specific amount tailored to what you are looking for. They make the perfect present for someone who is hard to buy for, and they gift time on the water on a Seawake powerboat course from Menai Bridge. The recipient chooses their course later, so you do not have to lock in a date when you buy.
Young boat enthusiasts often start with a Powerboat Level 1 course, and it makes a great birthday or Christmas present. Level 1 is a first day on the water. Powerboat Level 2 is the two-day course most people start with if they want to handle a boat in familiar waters by day, and we can issue a voucher for the full value of that course.
They pick their course later. If their chosen course costs more than the voucher, they pay the difference when we confirm the dates. Each course keeps its own age, kit and weather rules, and those sit in the joining instructions for the day they come.
Our training centre is in Menai Bridge on the Isle of Anglesey. We have a fully equipped classroom and access to our training boats within a 5-minute walk. They say if you can navigate the Menai Strait then it sets you in good stead to tackle any navigational boating challenge. During a powerboat course you'll see the sights of the area including the iconic bridges and experience the infamous Swellies.
The classroom is in the town itself, easily reached by taking junction 8A onto the A5 off the A55 at Britannia Bridge. There is parking across the road from the classroom in a public Pay and Display car park. The boats are moored a 5-minute walk from the classroom.
Anyone can buy a voucher. The person using it does not need powerboat experience for Level 1 or Level 2. For young boat enthusiasts, Level 1 is the usual starting point.
Each course has its own age and kit rules. Level 1 suits younger boaters as well as adults who want a first day on the water. Level 2 is open if they have no prior experience. Those details sit with the course they redeem against.
What makes a Seawake Powerboat Training course different is our team. We are all enthusiastic powerboaters who have a vast amount of experience on the water. Our office team have all been on our courses too, so they know what it is like to be a student and can help you pick a voucher that matches the person you are buying for.
Theory is important, but we know that getting out on the water is the fun part for most. Classroom activities for Level 1 and Level 2 are done in our classroom close to where we moor the boats, so we can get maximum time on the water.
Most courses meet at 40 High Street, Menai Bridge, Anglesey, LL59 5EF. Head to the classroom first, then we walk to the boats, which sit about five minutes away.
The classroom is in the town itself, easily reached by taking junction 8A onto the A5 off the A55 at Britannia Bridge. There is a public Pay and Display car park across the road. The recipient's course confirmation will confirm the start time and where to go on their date.
We do gift vouchers of £100, the full value of a Powerboat Level 2 course, or a specific amount tailored to what you are looking for. Gift vouchers make the perfect gift for someone who is hard to buy for, and they gift an experience on the water rather than something that sits in a cupboard.
The recipient chooses their course later, so you do not have to lock in a date when you buy. If their chosen course costs more than the voucher, they pay the difference when we confirm the dates.
Vouchers can go towards our powerboat courses from Menai Bridge, including Level 1 for young boat enthusiasts and Level 2 for anyone who wants to handle a boat in familiar waters by day. We can also set a specific amount if you have a particular course in mind.
The recipient uses the voucher as payment, or as part payment if they choose something that costs more. Any difference is settled when we confirm their dates.
For young boat enthusiasts, a Powerboat Level 1 course is a great gift for a birthday or Christmas. It is a first day on the water and suits younger boaters as well as adults who want to start there.
Powerboat Level 2 is the two-day course most people start with if they want to handle a powerboat themselves. If you are not sure, think about their age and what they want from a day on the water, then pick the voucher that matches that course.
Your confirmation shows the voucher value and the details the recipient needs to redeem it. They choose a course date once they have those details, then we place them on Level 1, Level 2, or another course the voucher covers.
Joining instructions then cover where to meet in Menai Bridge, what to wear, and what time to arrive. Courses run to demand, so it helps if they redeem once they know their free dates rather than leaving it until the week they want to come.
Anyone can buy a voucher. The course they redeem it against has its own age and experience rules, and those sit with that course.
Level 1 is aimed at younger boaters as well as adults who want a first day on the water. Level 2 is open if they have no prior experience.
Yes. Buy it in your name and pass on the confirmation, or print the details for a card. The recipient only needs those details when they are ready to pick a date.
They do not have to decide the exact course on the day you buy, as long as the voucher covers the course they later choose or they pay any extra then.
Validity and any end date sit on the confirmation we send after purchase. We recommend they redeem in good time so we can find a course date that suits them.
If you already have an older voucher, the terms issued when it was bought still apply, and those sit on that original confirmation.
Once a voucher is issued, unused credit follows the wording on your confirmation. Read that confirmation before you buy so you know how refunds and unused value work.
If your plans change, the confirmation is the place to check what still applies for that voucher.
Most courses meet at our classroom on High Street in Menai Bridge, then walk to the boats a few minutes away. Their joining email confirms the exact time and where to park.
There is a public Pay and Display car park across the road from the classroom. If a course starts on the water instead, that will be in the confirmation for their date.
If we have to move a course because the weather is not right for the boats, we rearrange the recipient onto a new date and the voucher stays with them.
Dress for spray and wind even on a fair day. Their course confirmation covers what to bring so they arrive ready for time on the water and in the classroom.

The boattrip was amazing! We enjoyed every minute! Jason our captain told us a lot from the wildlife on Puffin Island. We really recommend this trip, it’s worth the money for sure.
Fantastic experience led by friendly, efficient and interesting people.
The instructor/guide was fantastic and very knowledgeable, and we had great fun on the boat
We loved our boat trip, water doughnuts and speeding along 50mph + was great fun. Our skipper was lovely, very knowledgeable and enthusiasm shone through. Want to come back and see the puffins next year... although this was my soul reason to book this trip it really did not disappoint…
The Rib Tour was amazing! Exhilarating ride on the rib combined with fascinating facts about the coastline and the birds on puffin island. Highly recommended, will be booking the bridges tour next.
Exhilarating but also really informative. A great experience all round and highly recommended
Brilliant! Loved when Jason put the RIB into ‘sports mode’. Perfect mix of adventure and information. Beautiful scenery, great morning in the water. Cheers guys.
What a great experience. Our skipper, Jason, was great. Good chat, very knowledgable and really pushed the boat. The boat is an impressive thing which really moves. Great experience! Will be back to do the other tour.
Excellent!
