Course Breakdown

The course consists of three main phases:

Knowledge Development: Online, independent study, or classroom-based sessions to understand the core principles of scuba diving.
Confined Water Dives: Learn and practice scuba skills in controlled, sheltered conditions, including mini dives that mirror real open water experiences.
Open Water Dives: Apply your newfound skills during four thrilling open water dives at local dive sites.

Course Benefits

Upon earning your Open Water Diver certification, you'll be trained to a maximum depth of 18 meters, diving in conditions as good as, or better than, those in which you trained. This certification opens doors to renting scuba equipment, booking dive excursions, and discovering endless dive adventures.

Location

Our classroom sessions will be in our location Stirling Enterprise Park and the open water dives will be at various sites either in the Firth of Forth or the Firth of Clyde

Prerequisites

In order to dive, you must fill the Diver Medical Form. You may require a physicians approval to dive. If you have any questions then please let us know!

You do not require any diving experience to take part.

You will also have to sign our Diver Liability Release Form and Safe Diving Practices form.

The course duration varies but includes 50+ hours of contact time, online learning, confined and open water dives, and an additional weekend of guided diving.

Open water dives are conducted at local dive sites, taking advantage of the UK's vast coastline and freshwater sites. We can discuss your preferences, and we will also consider the time of year and current conditions.

With the Open Water Diver certification, you'll be trained to dive to 18 meters in conditions as good as or better than those in which you trained.

If time is a constraint, you can consider our Scuba Diver course, which offers similar opportunities in a shorter duration.
