Spend two hours in the water building confidence and improving your technique with guidance throughout. Each session is adapted to suit your ability, so you can progress at a pace that feels right. It’s a relaxed and practical way to get comfortable on the board while enjoying time in the sea.
You’ll start on the beach with a clear introduction to the basics, including how to handle the board, position yourself correctly, and move safely in and out of the water. Instructors will also explain how to spot suitable waves and what to look out for in the conditions on the day, giving you a solid starting point before heading in.
Once in the water, the focus is on building confidence through repetition. You’ll begin by catching smaller waves to get used to the movement, then work on standing up and holding your balance. Instructors stay close by, offering tips and adjustments as you go, so you can improve steadily. By the end of the session, most people feel more comfortable handling the board and have a better understanding of timing and technique.
For those looking to build consistency and progress over time, multi-session lesson vouchers are available. These packages include between 4 and 10 lessons, giving you the flexibility to return and continue improving with regular practice.
Each session follows the same 2-hour format, with time spent on the sand covering technique and preparation, followed by extended time in the water. Vouchers are valid for one year from the date of purchase, allowing you to spread sessions out depending on conditions. This option is best suited to those staying locally, as surf conditions can vary week to week.
Sessions take place along the coastline of Palma de Mallorca, typically around the Can Pastilla and Playa de Palma area. This part of the island is known for its long, open beach and easy access to the water, making it a practical spot for surf sessions.
The exact meeting point may vary depending on the day’s conditions, as sessions are planned to make the most of the available waves. The area is well connected and easy to reach, with plenty of space along the shoreline to get set up and practise comfortably.
Participants should be able to swim confidently and feel comfortable in open water. No prior surfing experience is needed, as the session is adapted to suit beginners as well as those with some previous experience.
A reasonable level of fitness is helpful, as surfing involves paddling and repeated movement in the water. The minimum age is 12 years, and younger participants may require alternative arrangements depending on supervision.
Sessions are designed to keep things clear, supportive, and focused on real progress in the water. Instructors take the time to guide you through each step, offering simple adjustments that make a noticeable difference as you practise.
Being based in Palma de Mallorca allows sessions to run in accessible conditions, with locations chosen on the day to suit the waves. With experienced coaching and reliable equipment, the focus is on helping you feel more confident each time you head into the water.
No prior experience is needed to take part. The session is designed so that complete beginners can learn the basics, while those with some experience can continue building on what they already know.
Instructors adjust the session depending on your level, so you won’t feel out of place if others are at a different stage. Everyone works on their own progress, with guidance given throughout to help you improve.
You should bring swimwear to wear under your wetsuit, along with a towel and something dry to change into afterwards. It’s also a good idea to bring water to stay hydrated during the session.
If it’s a sunny day, applying sunscreen beforehand is recommended, even if you’re wearing a wetsuit. Any personal items should be kept minimal, as storage may be limited on the beach.
Many participants manage to stand up during their first session, but it’s not guaranteed as it depends on timing, balance, and conditions on the day. The session is designed to give you the best chance by breaking everything down step by step.
Even if you don’t stand up straight away, you’ll still build important skills like paddling, positioning, and wave timing. These are essential for progress and will make future sessions easier.
Sessions are planned around the conditions to give you the best possible experience. If the originally planned spot isn’t suitable, the location may be adjusted to find better waves.
In cases where conditions are not safe or appropriate, sessions may be rescheduled. This helps ensure that everyone can take part in a safe and productive session.
Surfing does involve physical effort, particularly paddling and getting onto the board. You’ll be moving consistently throughout the session, which can feel tiring if you’re not used to it.
That said, the session is paced to suit a range of abilities, and you can take short breaks when needed. Most people find it manageable and enjoyable, even if it’s their first time.
The general area for sessions is around Can Pastilla and Playa de Palma, but the exact meeting point can vary depending on the day’s conditions. This helps ensure you’re surfing in the most suitable spot.
After booking, the confirmed location and meeting details will be provided so you know exactly where to go. This allows the session to be planned around the best available waves on the day.
