Certified divers can join guided sessions around the protected waters of the La Maddalena Archipelago, with options ranging from single dives to multi-dive packages. Based at Punta Tegge, this programme is perfect for those wanting to enjoy the Mediterranean’s underwater world with expert guidance.
Your diving adventure begins just steps from the shoreline at Punta Tegge. After a thorough pre-dive briefing, you’ll head out by boat with your instructor to explore the La Maddalena Archipelago National Park. These guided dives are designed for certified divers who want a relaxed and enjoyable way to discover the Mediterranean’s underwater world. You’ll visit a variety of sites featuring rocky outcrops, gentle walls, and fish-filled shallows, all selected to match your certification level and the day’s sea conditions.
You can book multiple dives to make the most of your time and explore different locations over several days. The experience is friendly and well-organised, with small groups and expert instructors who tailor each dive to the group’s needs. Between dives, there’s time to relax, chat about marine life sightings, and prepare for the next dive. If you haven’t dived in over 12 months, a Scuba Review refresher is required before joining the fun dives, which can be booked through the form below.
Optional extras you can book:
The dive centre is based at Punta Tegge, on the south-western coast of La Maddalena Island, the largest of the islands within the La Maddalena Archipelago National Park, located off the northern tip of Sardinia. The location is just a short drive from the main town of La Maddalena, and easily accessible via the regular ferry service from Palau on the Sardinian mainland.
Punta Tegge itself is a small coastal area known for its clear waters, rocky coves, and quiet beaches—making it an ideal departure point for dives. Being less than two metres from the sea, the centre allows for fast boarding and short boat rides to a variety of dive sites across the national park. From shallow, beginner-friendly locations to deeper, more complex spots, it’s a convenient and scenic base to explore some of the Mediterranean’s best-protected marine environments.
These guided dives are open to certified divers with at least an Open Water qualification or equivalent. All participants will be asked to show proof of certification before diving, and dives will be planned within your certified depth and experience limits.
A Scuba Review is mandatory for any diver who hasn’t dived in the past 12 months. You must also be medically fit to dive, complete a medical questionnaire, and follow the safety briefings and instructions given by your instructor on the day.
The centre is one of the first established diving operators in northern Sardinia, with over four decades of experience. It’s led by a team of passionate instructors, including a NAAD Trainer, who are dedicated to helping certified divers make the most of their time underwater.
With its base just metres from the shoreline at Punta Tegge, the centre offers an easy, relaxed setup and fast access to dive sites. Their approach is personal and safety-focused, giving each diver the chance to enjoy the marine environment at their own pace with the support of local professionals.
Yes, these guided dives are specifically for certified divers with at least an Open Water qualification or equivalent. You’ll be asked to show proof of certification before your first session, and all dives will be planned to stay within the limits of your qualification and experience level.
If you’re unsure whether your certification is suitable, it’s best to contact the centre via the adventuro chat in advance. They welcome divers from all major training agencies and are happy to help confirm whether your level matches the planned dive sites for the day.
If it’s been more than 12 months since your last dive, you’ll need to complete a Scuba Review before joining the guided sessions. This is to make sure you’re confident and safe in the water, and it gives you time to refresh important skills like buoyancy control and equipment checks.
The Scuba Review is led by an instructor and includes both theory and practical elements. You can book it easily using the booking form below, and it’s designed to be relaxed and supportive—not a test, just a refresher to get you ready to enjoy your dives.
You can book anywhere from a single dive up to 10 dives, depending on how long you’re staying and how much time you’d like to spend underwater. The pricing is structured so the more dives you book, the better value it becomes.
Many people choose 3 to 6 dives across a few days to experience a range of sites without feeling rushed. Others opt for the full 10-dive package to make the most of their time in La Maddalena. It’s completely flexible and can be tailored to your plans.
The Lavezzi dive is a special optional trip to a site near Corsica, known for its crystal-clear waters, large boulders, and the chance to see bigger marine life like barracuda and dentex. It’s a popular choice for more experienced divers who want something a bit different.
This dive costs €80 and can be added to your booking via the form. It may not run every day, as it's weather-dependent and requires a slightly longer boat trip, so it’s best to book early and be flexible with your schedule to make sure it fits in.
Yes, night dives are available as an optional extra. Diving after dark gives you the chance to see nocturnal marine life that you won’t encounter during the day—like hunting squid, crabs, and bioluminescent organisms.
Your instructor will guide you through the dive with torches and signals adapted for night use, and there’s always a full briefing beforehand to help you feel prepared. Night dives offer a completely different atmosphere and are a favourite among repeat visitors.
Yes, the team selects dive sites daily based on weather, sea conditions, and the experience levels of the group. If you’re a newly certified diver, you’ll be taken to sites with calm water, good visibility, and moderate depth.
More experienced divers may visit deeper or more challenging sites, including those with interesting topography or currents. Your instructor will tailor the experience so you feel confident and enjoy the dive, regardless of your background.
Water temperatures around La Maddalena range from about 18°C in spring to 26°C in peak summer. A 5mm wetsuit is typically recommended, though in the warmer months some divers are comfortable in a 3mm suit.
If you’re not sure what to bring, the centre can advise based on the season and provide rental suits if needed. Water clarity is usually excellent, especially in summer and early autumn, making it a great destination for photography and relaxed diving.
You’ll need to bring your certification card, dive logbook (if you have one), and a towel. It’s also a good idea to bring water, sun protection, and any personal gear you prefer to use such as your own mask or dive computer.
Before your dive, you’ll be asked to complete a medical form and confirm you’re fit to dive. If you have a known medical condition, it’s recommended to bring a doctor’s clearance to avoid any issues on the day. The team will handle the rest!
