Single Kayak Hire
Ideal for those who want a simple, lightweight boat to paddle on their own. The single kayak is easy to handle, offering stability and comfort for beginners and experienced paddlers alike. It’s perfect for exploring the coastline at your own speed.
Stand-Up Paddleboard (SUP) Hire
SUPs are a popular choice for a full-body workout and a fun way to explore shallow waters. The boards provided are stable and suitable for all levels. It’s easy to learn the basics, and once comfortable, you can paddle along the coast enjoying the sea and views from a higher vantage point.
Pedaloe Hire
If you prefer a more relaxed, leg-powered experience, pedaloe hire lets you glide gently across the water. Pedaloes are great for families or groups who want a less physically demanding way to enjoy the water and take in the surroundings.
Double Canoe Hire

Snorkelling Equipment Hire

Our hire centre is situated at Punta Tegge on La Maddalena Island, directly beside the beach. This location offers quick and easy access to the water, allowing you to start your adventure without delay. The nearby coastline features calm, protected bays that are ideal for all the hire options available.

There is no need for previous experience to hire any of our equipment. However, all participants should be comfortable in the water and physically able to operate their chosen gear safely for the hire period.

No prior experience is required to hire any of the equipment available. Whether you choose a kayak, SUP, canoe, pedalo, or snorkelling gear, each option comes with a basic safety briefing and a short introduction on how to use it. All equipment is beginner-friendly, and the calm waters around Punta Tegge make it a suitable area for first-timers.
That said, you should be physically able to paddle, pedal, or swim (for snorkelling), and feel comfortable being in and around water for the duration of your hire. If you're unsure which option best suits your abilities, the team will be happy to offer guidance before you commit.
The standard rental duration is between 1 to 5 hours, depending on your preference and equipment availability on the day. You’ll choose your duration when you book or on arrival, and you’ll be given a return time to bring the equipment back to the beach.
If you find you’re enjoying yourself and want to extend your time on the water, it's usually possible to do so—just check back with staff during your session to see if there’s availability. Additional charges may apply based on the extra time used.
You’ll want to wear swimwear or light clothing you’re happy to get wet. We also recommend bringing a towel, sun protection, water, and any personal items like a waterproof phone pouch or action camera if you want to take photos.
Snorkellers may prefer to bring their own mask and snorkel if they have one, though full snorkelling sets are available to hire. Shoes that can get wet are useful, especially for launching and landing the equipment.
There isn’t a strict minimum age, but anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult on the water or supervised from the shore. Pedaloes and double canoes are especially popular with families as they allow younger children to join in safely with an adult. For solo use of kayaks or SUPs, we recommend that users are confident in the water and old enough to follow safety instructions independently.
Snorkelling gear can be used by children under adult supervision, and we do recommend checking mask sizes for a good fit before heading into the water. If you’re unsure about suitability for a younger participant, the staff can advise on the best equipment choice for your group.
