This comprehensive course is designed to equip participants with the skills and confidence to handle a wide range of First Aid emergencies in outdoor settings. Whether you're fulfilling the requirements for Duke of Edinburgh awards or looking to enhance your outdoor safety knowledge, this training provides practical and essential First Aid techniques.
Day 1 covers an introduction to First Aid equipment, assessment of the situation, prioritising treatment, and understanding environmental factors in First Aid. Participants will also learn how to deal with unresponsive casualties and engage in practical exercises.
Day 2 focuses on handling fractures and spinal injuries, managing heart attacks and choking, and mastering bandaging techniques and control of bleeding. The day concludes with treatments for head, eye, and chest injuries, followed by practical assessments and written tests.
