Winter enduro mountain bike holidays around Malaga combine shuttle-assisted descending, technical trails and reliable riding weather through the cooler months. Packages run from single days through long weekends and full weeks, with hotel accommodation, airport transfers and vehicle support organised for you.
Riding is shuttle assisted, so days mix long descents with enduro-style trails and short climbs used to reach the best tracks. Before lunch, guides take the group onto the strongest trails of the area and pre-order food where possible so more time is spent riding rather than waiting.
Staying in the hotel wing means bike wash, secure storage and workshop space are close at hand after riding. Breakfast is a large buffet before you head out, and evenings leave you free to walk to restaurants within a few minutes of the hotel.
Malaga province has become a well-known winter destination for enduro riders, with mountains inland from the coast offering rocky trails, switchbacks and varied singletrack while coastal towns sit a short transfer away.
Base accommodation is in Mijas Pueblo, a hillside village with restaurants nearby and a practical setup for riders who want storage, washing facilities and an easy return after a full day on the trails.
These holidays suit riders who already have mountain bike experience and are comfortable on technical or red-grade terrain. You do not need to be a competitive rider, but confidence on rocky trails and a reasonable fitness level will help you enjoy the shuttle-supported format.
Riders aged 15 or 16 need parent or guardian consent and are preferred to travel with an accompanying adult.
Michael and the guiding team have spent decades introducing riders to southern Spanish enduro terrain, with MIAS-qualified representation, vehicle shuttles and a focus on keeping logistics simple so the day stays on the trails.
The winter Malaga setup is built around practical hotel accommodation, airport transfers and a return rate that shows guests come back for the trail variety and the weather window from November through April.
Winter riding packages operate from November through to the end of April, when cooler temperatures make full days of trail riding more comfortable inland from the coast.
That season is designed around the Malaga trail network and the hotel base in Mijas Pueblo, so packages are timed for the most reliable winter riding window rather than peak summer heat.
Week and 4-night packages include hotel accommodation in Mijas Pueblo, a large buffet breakfast, airport transfers, vehicle shuttles during riding days, MIAS-qualified guide support and skills tuition on the trails.
Mountain bikes, protective kit and evening meals are not included as standard, although hire bikes and pads can usually be arranged if you ask ahead of arrival.
Yes. Single day rides are available if you are already staying nearby or only have a short window before or after other travel plans.
Days still follow the shuttle-supported format with guiding on local enduro trails, so you get the same trail access and vehicle support without booking a full accommodation package.
Yes. Mountain bikes, e-bikes, helmets and knee pads can be rented on request if you prefer not to travel with your own equipment.
It is best to contact the team ahead of arrival so the right bike size and protection can be organised, particularly during busier weeks of the winter season.
If you stay as a single rider, a supplement of €60 per night applies when you need a room to yourself rather than sharing with another guest.
That charge is removed if another rider is happy to share with you, so solo travellers can often avoid the supplement once the group is confirmed.
The meeting point for package transfers is Malaga Airport, upstairs outside Departures by the Tobacconist, which keeps the collection point easy to find after landing.
From there, guests on accommodation packages are taken to the hotel base in Mijas Pueblo before the first riding day begins.
A full-suspension enduro bike suits the rocky descents and shuttle-assisted trail network best, because the terrain mixes technical sections with longer descending days.
Bring knee and shin pads, a multitool and either an enduro full-face or open-face helmet, depending on what you ride most comfortably on steeper tracks.
Yes. You must show proof of medical insurance that covers mountain biking or extreme sports before you are allowed to ride, and days cannot go ahead without that evidence.
European guests should also carry a GHIC or equivalent health card as additional cover alongside their specialist sports policy.
Riders aged 15 and over are accepted with parent or guardian consent, and the team prefers younger teenage riders to travel with an accompanying adult.
This keeps the experience welcoming for families while making sure consent and on-trail support expectations are clear before the booking is confirmed.
Yes. Bookings for 5 or more people use the group pricing on week, 4-night and single day options, so larger parties pay the lower listed rate.
Choose the matching group of 5+ option when requesting your booking so the correct package price is applied from the start.
