Mountain bike coaching is one of the fastest ways to improve your riding technique, increase confidence, and develop better control on challenging terrain. Combining expert guidance with access to a huge variety of enduro trails, these sessions are designed to help riders make real progress while enjoying some of the best mountain biking available in southern Spain.
Coaching is available as a single day, long weekend, or full week experience, allowing riders to choose the level of instruction that best suits their goals. Before heading onto the trails, you'll discuss the areas you'd like to improve, whether that's cornering, descending, bike setup, confidence on technical terrain, or overall riding efficiency.
A major benefit of the coaching format is the opportunity to repeat trail sections multiple times. Instead of riding a feature once and moving on, you'll be able to analyse lines, braking points, body positioning, and technique before immediately putting the feedback into practice. This process helps riders develop skills more quickly while building confidence on increasingly challenging terrain.
The trail network offers a huge variety of features and conditions, making it an excellent environment for progression. Riders can work on steep descents, rocky sections, switchbacks, loose corners, technical singletrack, and optional trail features while receiving ongoing guidance from experienced coaches. Bike and suspension setup can also be reviewed throughout the sessions to help improve comfort, control, and performance on the trails.
Malaga has become one of Europe's most respected destinations for enduro mountain biking, attracting riders from around the world thanks to its extensive trail network and reliable riding conditions. The mountains surrounding the region provide access to varied terrain suitable for developing a wide range of technical skills.
Away from the trails, riders can enjoy traditional Andalusian scenery, mountain villages, and views stretching towards the Mediterranean coastline. The combination of terrain diversity and favourable weather has helped establish the area as a popular destination for mountain biking throughout much of the year.
These coaching sessions are designed for riders who already have several years of mountain biking experience and are comfortable riding red-grade trails. A reasonable level of fitness and confidence on technical terrain will help you get the most from the coaching.
You do not need to be a competitive rider, but you should feel comfortable tackling varied trail features and be keen to improve through structured coaching and guided practice.
Few coaches can match the depth of experience available here. Michael brings more than 35 years of riding experience, including a professional downhill racing background and extensive experience coaching riders of all abilities. His practical approach focuses on helping riders make measurable improvements that can be applied immediately on the trail.
Supported by an experienced guiding team, the coaching combines personalised feedback, small riding groups, and access to exceptional terrain. The focus is always on building confidence, improving technique, and helping riders leave with skills they can continue to use long after the trip has ended.
