Try electric foil surfing with a beginner-friendly e-foil session on the Costa del Sol. This short, focused experience is designed to get you up and riding with clear instruction and time on the water.
Your session begins on the beach with a clear introduction to the e-foil setup. You’ll learn how the board works, how to control speed using the handheld throttle, and how to position your body for stability. This briefing is essential, as e-foiling relies on smooth control rather than force.
Once on the water, you’ll start at low speed, focusing on balance and getting comfortable with the board. The instructor will guide you step by step, helping you build confidence before attempting to lift onto the foil. Most beginners begin by riding with the board in contact with the water before progressing to short lifts.
As your control improves, you’ll start to experience the sensation of foiling—lifting above the surface and gliding smoothly. Throughout the session, the instructor remains nearby, monitoring your progress and providing support when needed. The calm conditions along this stretch of coastline make it well suited for first-time riders.
The session takes place in Estepona, along the coastline between Marbella and Estepona. This area offers generally stable sea conditions, making it suitable for learning e-foiling.
You’ll meet at Calle de Levante in the Atalaya Isdabe area, near the beach by Asociación Torre de Baños. The setup provides direct access to the water and a controlled area for practising safely.
No prior experience is required. This session is designed specifically for beginners and includes a full introduction to the equipment and techniques.
Participants should be comfortable in the water and able to swim while wearing a buoyancy aid. A basic level of balance and coordination will help, but no previous board sport experience is necessary.
Using stable, beginner-friendly equipment and structured instruction, this session is designed to make e-foiling accessible from the first attempt.
