Push your windsurfing forward with focused coaching designed for intermediate to advanced riders. This session targets the techniques that unlock speed, efficiency, and control, helping you move confidently into higher-performance sailing.
This session is designed for riders who are already comfortable sailing and want to improve performance and technique. It begins with targeted coaching on land, where key movements such as harness positioning, stance adjustments, and rig control are broken down clearly before heading onto the water.
Once on the water, the focus shifts to applying those techniques in real conditions. The instructor provides ongoing feedback both from shore and alongside you, helping you make small but important adjustments. At this level, details matter—how you load the sail, position your weight, or time a movement can significantly affect speed and control.
Depending on your level and the conditions, you may work on generating planing speed, improving transitions like tacks and gybes, or learning more dynamic skills such as water starts or controlled jumping. The aim is not just to try new techniques, but to understand how to execute them consistently and build towards more efficient, confident sailing.
The session takes place in Malmö, meeting at Västra Varvsgatan 6. The surrounding coastline provides suitable conditions for progression, with enough open water to practise longer runs and higher-speed techniques.
The location allows for flexibility depending on conditions, meaning sessions can be adapted to match both wind strength and participant level. This makes it possible to work on a wide range of skills, from technical refinement in lighter winds through to more dynamic sailing when conditions allow.
This session is not suitable for beginners. Participants should already be able to sail confidently in both directions, control the sail in varying conditions, and return safely to shore.
You should have prior experience across multiple sessions and be ready to focus on technique development. A reasonable level of fitness is recommended, as higher-level windsurfing involves more sustained effort and coordination.
Progression at this level depends on precise technique rather than just time on the water. This session focuses on identifying and correcting the small details that have the biggest impact on performance, helping you move forward more efficiently.
With adaptable equipment and a structured progression system, you’ll always be working with the right setup for the conditions. Combined with experienced coaching, this creates a session that is both technically focused and highly effective for improving speed, control, and confidence.
This session is aimed at intermediate to advanced windsurfers who are already confident sailing and want to improve performance. You should be comfortable controlling the board and sail in a range of conditions.
If you are still working on basic balance or short runs, a beginner or progression session would be more suitable before joining this level.
It involves moving beyond basic sailing into more technical and performance-focused windsurfing. This includes harness use, improving efficiency, and working towards planing and dynamic manoeuvres.
The focus is on refining technique rather than just gaining experience.
Depending on conditions and your level, you may begin working towards planing or experience early stages of it. The session focuses on the techniques required to reach that stage.
This includes correct stance, sail power management, and timing.
Yes, harness technique is often a key part of progression at this level. It allows you to transfer power more efficiently and reduces fatigue.
Learning to use a harness properly is a major step towards higher-speed windsurfing.
A beach start involves launching from shallow water using the wind to help lift you onto the board. A water start is a more advanced technique where you start directly from deeper water.
Both techniques are important for progressing into stronger wind conditions and more advanced sailing.
This level of windsurfing is more physically demanding than beginner sessions. Techniques such as pumping and high-speed sailing require more effort and coordination.
However, improved technique and harness use can make sailing more efficient and less tiring over time.
You’ll use equipment suited to your level and the conditions, which may include smaller boards and larger sails compared to beginner setups.
This allows you to generate more speed and experience more dynamic sailing.
Yes, the instructor provides coaching both ashore and on the water. This allows for immediate feedback and adjustments as you practise.
Continuous coaching is key to refining technique at this level.
Yes, repeating sessions at this level is highly beneficial. Each session helps refine technique and improve consistency.
Progression in windsurfing often comes from repeated practice with targeted feedback.
Make sure you are confident with the fundamentals of windsurfing, including balance, sail control, and basic navigation.
If you are unsure, it’s better to complete additional progression sessions first to ensure you get the most out of this advanced coaching.
