Take your windsurfing to the next stage with focused coaching and advanced technique development on flat water in central Stockholm. These sessions are designed for riders ready to move beyond the basics and start unlocking speed, efficiency, and dynamic control.
The session begins with targeted coaching on land, where techniques are broken down clearly before being applied on the water. You’ll focus on specific progression areas depending on your level, such as harness use, improving transitions, or learning how to generate speed more efficiently.
During the first part of the session, the instructor works closely with you on the water, providing direct feedback and helping you refine movements in real time. This is where you’ll start to feel the difference in efficiency, particularly when using a harness or working towards planing.
In the second part of the session, you’ll continue practising independently using the same equipment. This is a key part of progression, allowing you to repeat techniques without interruption and build consistency. By the end of the session, you’ll have a clearer understanding of how to generate speed, control the board under more power, and execute more advanced manoeuvres.
The session takes place on Riddarfjärden, a central Stockholm waterway that offers flat water conditions ideal for technical progression. The controlled environment allows you to focus on refining technique without the added complexity of waves or unstable conditions.
You’ll be based in Rålambshovsparken on Kungsholmen, a well-known park with direct access to the water. The setup is practical and efficient, giving you quick access to the launch area and plenty of space to prepare between coaching and practice.
This session is not suitable for beginners. Participants should already be confident sailing in both directions, maintaining balance, and controlling the sail in varying conditions.
You should have experience from multiple sessions and be ready to work on more advanced techniques such as harness use, faster sailing, or transitions. A reasonable level of fitness is recommended, as higher-level windsurfing becomes more physically demanding.
These sessions are designed around structured progression, helping you move efficiently from intermediate to advanced windsurfing without gaps in technique. The focus is on practical skill development, ensuring that each session leads to measurable improvement.
The combination of expert coaching and dedicated practice time is particularly effective at this level. You’ll not only learn new techniques but also have the opportunity to repeat and refine them immediately, which is essential for building speed, control, and confidence in stronger conditions.
This session is aimed at intermediate to advanced windsurfers who are already comfortable sailing and want to progress further. You should be able to control the board and sail confidently in a range of conditions.
If you’re still working on basic balance and short runs, a beginner or progression session would be more suitable before moving to this level.
It refers to moving beyond basic sailing into more technical and performance-focused windsurfing. This includes using a harness, increasing speed, and learning advanced manoeuvres.
You’ll start working on techniques that allow you to generate more power, improve efficiency, and handle more dynamic conditions.
Yes, harness use is a key focus for many participants at this level. It allows you to transfer power from the sail more efficiently and reduces strain on your arms.
Learning to use a harness correctly is a major step towards faster and more controlled windsurfing.
Planing is when the board lifts and skims across the water at higher speed, rather than moving through it. It’s one of the most exciting aspects of windsurfing.
Depending on conditions and your level, you may begin working towards planing or experience early stages of it during the session.
The session starts with coaching and guided practice with the instructor. This is followed by a period where you continue practising independently using the same equipment.
This structure allows you to apply what you’ve learned immediately and build consistency through repetition.
Techniques vary depending on your level but may include harness use, water starts, advanced turns, pumping, and improving speed control.
The instructor will help prioritise the most relevant skills for your progression.
Yes, windsurfing at this level can be more physically demanding than beginner sessions. Techniques like pumping and high-speed sailing require more effort and coordination.
However, using a harness can reduce strain and make sailing more efficient once learned properly.
You’ll use equipment suited to your level and the conditions, which may include smaller boards and larger sails compared to beginner setups.
This allows you to generate more speed and experience a more dynamic style of windsurfing.
Yes, part of the session is dedicated to independent practice. This is essential for reinforcing what you’ve learned and building muscle memory.
You’ll have access to the equipment so you can continue working on techniques without interruption.
Make sure you’re confident with the fundamentals of windsurfing, including balance, sail control, and basic navigation.
If you’re unsure, it’s often better to complete a progression session first to ensure you get the most out of this more advanced coaching.
