Give young riders a structured introduction to windsurfing with a 4-day camp on the shallow waters of Ribersborg in Malmö. Designed for safety, progression, and enjoyment, this camp helps build real confidence on the water in a supportive environment.
This camp is designed specifically for younger participants, with sessions structured to make learning windsurfing safe, manageable, and engaging. The focus is on building confidence first, then gradually introducing more technical elements as participants become comfortable on the board.
Across four consecutive afternoons, participants develop coordination, balance, and an understanding of how to control the sail. The small group format ensures each child receives consistent support, with instructors able to adapt coaching to individual progress.
The shallow water at Ribersborg plays a key role in the learning process. Being able to stand up makes it easier to reset and try again, which helps reduce frustration and encourages faster improvement. By the end of the camp, most participants are able to stand, control the sail, and move across the water with increasing independence.
The camp takes place at Ribersborg in Malmö, a shallow, sandy beach that is particularly well suited to beginner windsurfing. The ability to stand in the water makes it easier for younger participants to learn and practise safely.
You’ll meet next to the storage at Ribersborgsstigen, located by Strandkiosken (Brygga 1). The setup provides direct access to the water and a simple, organised starting point for each session.
No prior experience is required. This camp is designed for complete beginners and introduces windsurfing in a way that is appropriate for younger participants.
Participants should be comfortable in the water and able to swim while wearing a buoyancy aid. They should also be able to follow basic instructions in a group setting.
The combination of shallow water, small group sizes, and structured coaching creates an ideal learning environment for children. Participants receive consistent attention and support, which helps build confidence quickly and safely.
