Experience the excitement of off-road 4×4 driving in a safe, supervised environment on a purpose-built track. You’ll learn how to handle a 4×4 over increasingly challenging trails, with up to 40 minutes behind the wheel during a session that can last around 1 hour 30 minutes. This session is ideal for anyone looking to try a hands-on driving experience in Scotland’s countryside.
Your session begins with a safety briefing and a demonstration of the vehicle’s controls and off-road techniques. Your instructor will guide you through the basics of handling a 4×4 on uneven terrain, including managing slopes, mud, and tight turns. You’ll gain confidence while taking the wheel, experiencing each section of the track in stages, gradually increasing the technical challenge.
Once on the track, you’ll navigate a variety of trails designed to test different driving skills. Your instructor will provide tips and feedback throughout, helping you tackle obstacles and refine your techniques. Each driver gets up to 40 minutes behind the wheel, with the option for an accompanying passenger to join for part of the session. Spectators have limited viewing, but passengers can enjoy the ride for an additional fee.
The session finishes with a short debrief, offering advice on your driving performance and highlighting areas to improve for future off-road experiences. You’ll leave with a sense of accomplishment and practical knowledge of basic off-road 4×4 driving skills.
