Canyoning and Adventure Canyoning both offer an opportunity to challenge yourself and enjoy a truly unique outdoor adventure. These activities are designed for those looking to push their limits while being guided by skilled instructors. Whether you’re navigating water flumes, rock pools, or taking a leap into the unknown, these sessions are sure to give you a memorable experience.
Both activities begin with a safety briefing and instruction from experienced guides. You'll be suited up in wetsuits and safety gear before heading to the river. The canyoning session focuses on navigating water features such as flumes, pools, and jumps, building your confidence as you progress through the course. You'll work your way through each section, gradually increasing the challenge, with your instructors providing guidance along the way.
Adventure Canyoning takes this to the next level, adding an exciting rock climbing section and an abseil down into the water, offering a truly adrenaline-pumping experience. While canyoning focuses more on water obstacles, Adventure Canyoning includes elements that push participants further, including climbing and abseiling. In both cases, you’ll enjoy the challenge of a natural environment while being fully supported by your guides.
Both sessions are led by friendly, patient instructors who will ensure your safety while encouraging you to step out of your comfort zone. The sessions include all the necessary equipment and time for travel to and from the gorge. After the activity, you’ll have the chance to warm up with a hot shower and change into dry clothes.
The activities are based in the Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park, offering a beautiful and adventurous backdrop for your canyoning experience. The park is known for its rugged landscape, with clear rivers, gorges, and hills, making it a perfect location for outdoor adventures.
Situated just an hour’s drive from Glasgow and just over an hour from Edinburgh, it’s an ideal spot for a day trip or weekend adventure.
For canyoning, participants should have good water confidence and be willing to take on physical challenges. The adventure is suitable for individuals who are ready for a challenge and want to enjoy an active day outdoors.
For Adventure Canyoning, participants should have an even higher level of confidence and a willingness to be pushed beyond their usual comfort zones. While previous experience isn’t necessary, a sense of adventure and readiness to tackle obstacles is essential.
The team are fully qualified and experienced, ensuring that your safety is always the top priority. Instructors have extensive training in water-based activities, rock climbing, and risk management, making sure that you’ll be in good hands as you take on the river and cliffs.
The centre is also committed to providing a sustainable outdoor experience, with a low carbon footprint and ongoing conservation projects aimed at preserving the local environment. Whether you choose canyoning or Adventure Canyoning, you can expect a fun, safe, and memorable adventure in Scotland’s beautiful natural landscapes.
