Abseiling is an exciting and rewarding activity that challenges both your nerves and determination. It’s the perfect way to conquer your fears while taking in the surrounding natural beauty. Standing on the edge of a cliff and gradually leaning back into the drop can leave you with an exciting sense of achievement, all while enjoying some of the most scenic spots in the Lake District.
Your session will start with an introduction from your instructor, who will provide all the necessary equipment and ensure everyone is comfortable and ready. You’ll be joined by fellow adventurers, making for a fun, social experience. The abseiling difficulty will be adjusted to suit everyone’s abilities, allowing for a progression in challenge as you go.
At some of the venues, there are different heights for abseiling, so you’ll be able to gradually increase the challenge as you build confidence. Throughout the session, you’ll have multiple opportunities to try your hand at abseiling, each time building more skill and courage.
Our sessions are hosted in four locations within the beautiful North West: Keswick, Langdale, Chorley andConiston. These venues are chosen for their amazing backdrops and diverse challenges, offering a fantastic range of cliffs to abseil.
Whether you’re surrounded by dramatic mountain ranges or lush valleys, each location provides a perfect setting for your adventure.
Abseiling is open to individuals from the age of 6, making it suitable for families and groups.
There are no specific skills required, though a general level of fitness and the ability to follow instructions will be helpful. Participants should be comfortable with heights and willing to step outside their comfort zones.
