When you arrive at the climbing location, you’ll meet your friendly instructor who will ensure everyone has the necessary safety gear. After a brief introduction and fitting of equipment, the group will discuss the planned climbing routes for the session, tailored to the participants’ abilities.
Throughout the session, you’ll have multiple opportunities to climb, with each ascent presenting a new challenge. While not climbing, participants will learn to belay for their peers, gaining insight into the importance of safety and support in climbing. The session includes climbing on natural rock faces, learning climbing techniques, and gaining an understanding of how to belay (manage safety ropes).
Participants will take turns climbing and belaying under the guidance of an experienced instructor.
The half day activity lasts for approximately 2.5 hours, whilst the full day activity is 5 hours, providing plenty of time for climbing, learning safety techniques, and enjoying the surroundings.
The minimum age to join is 4 years. Sessions are designed to suit various abilities, including younger participants.
