Winter sports cover a lot of ground: skiing down a piste, learning to snowboard, floating through fresh snow, or heading off on snowshoes. The common thread is cold air, big views and a fair amount of falling over, which never quite stops, even for the good ones.
There is a level for everyone. Lessons get complete beginners sliding and turning safely within a day or two, and instructors and guides help more confident riders into steeper, quieter terrain. Skiing tends to be easier at first, snowboarding a bit harder to start and then quick to click.
The instructors on adventuro cover lessons, courses and guided days right through the season. Warm waterproof layers, a helmet and a sense of humour go a long way.
