Scramble across rocks, leap into the sea, and swim through tidal pools on an adventure that shows off the Pembrokeshire Coast at its best. Coasteering mixes climbing, swimming, and jumping into one action-packed activity that’s suitable for all skill levels. With different packages available, you can go at your own pace—whether that means building confidence on smaller features or pushing your limits on bigger challenges.
On arrival at the meeting point in St Davids, our friendly team will welcome you, help with the short registration process, and get you fitted with all the necessary safety kit. From there, it’s only a 15-minute walk to the coast where the fun begins. Before heading into the water, your instructor will run through a full briefing to make sure everyone is comfortable and ready to go.
The Discovery Package is tailored for families, beginners, and anyone who wants to ease into coasteering at a steady pace. Starting with gentle scrambling and small jumps, you’ll gradually add in short swims and explore features of the coastline in calm waters. With plenty of encouragement and support, this session is about enjoying the activity while soaking up the scenery.
The Explorer Package offers a faster pace and bigger challenges. Expect higher leaps, longer swims, and trickier terrain, making it ideal for adventurous participants aged 13+ who are confident in the water. This option is designed to deliver a proper adrenaline rush while still being safe, structured, and fun.
Whichever package you choose, you’ll have the chance to clamber over rocky ledges, cross gullies, and launch yourself into the sea—all under the guidance of qualified instructors. The mix of activity, teamwork, and coastal exploration makes this a unique way to experience Pembrokeshire.
Coasteering here takes place in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, one of the UK’s most striking and diverse coastal environments. The area around St Davids is particularly famous for its dramatic cliffs, sea caves, and clear waters, all of which provide a natural playground for this adventure.
The meeting point is right in St Davids (SA62 6SD), and the activity site is only a short walk away. With easy access to both sheltered areas and more exposed spots, it’s an ideal setting for all levels. Alongside the thrill of the activity itself, you’ll be surrounded by incredible seascapes and the chance to spot wildlife such as seabirds and seals.
Participants should be reasonably fit and able to swim comfortably in the sea. The Discovery Package is suitable for anyone aged 8 and above, while the Explorer Package is designed for those aged 13+ who want a bigger challenge.
Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Both sessions are run at a pace that ensures safety and enjoyment, so nobody feels out of their depth.
The centre is committed to creating experiences that bring people closer to nature while having fun in the outdoors. Sessions are designed to encourage confidence, teamwork, and adventure in a safe, supportive environment.
Based in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, we’re proud to run activities in one of the cleanest coastal environments in Europe. Protecting the natural surroundings is a priority, and all our sessions are run in a way that respects the wildlife and landscapes that make this place so special.
We provide all the safety equipment you’ll need, including helmets, buoyancy aids, and wetsuits. These are designed to keep you safe and comfortable while you explore the coastline.
All you need to bring is a swimsuit or base layer to wear under the wetsuit, a towel for afterwards, and trainers or sturdy shoes that can get wet. Old trainers are perfect, as flip-flops and sandals aren’t suitable.
No experience is necessary for the Discovery Package. It’s designed to introduce beginners and families to coasteering in a safe and supportive way. You’ll start with easy scrambling, small jumps, and short swims so you can build confidence gradually.
If you’ve never done anything like this before, that’s not a problem. Our instructors are experienced in guiding complete beginners and will move at a pace that suits you. The aim is for everyone to feel safe, supported, and have fun.
Safety is our number one priority. Every session begins with a comprehensive briefing from your instructor, who will explain the techniques for moving safely across rocks, entering and exiting the water, and making controlled jumps.
All activities are supervised, and we only take groups into conditions that are suitable for their ability level. Our instructors are highly trained and experienced, so you can be confident you’re in good hands.
Not at all. While jumping into the sea is a highlight for many, it’s always optional. Instructors will guide you through a series of features, but you’ll never be pressured to take on a jump that you’re not comfortable with.
The beauty of coasteering is that it can be tailored to different levels. Whether you want to stick with scrambling and swimming or try some of the higher leaps, the session is about enjoying yourself at your own pace.
Yes, we can accommodate groups. Our instructor-to-group ratio is 1:8 for coasteering.
For larger groups, we can provide additional instructors to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience. To book, please contact the adventuro team using the chat feature below.
A basic level of fitness is recommended, as coasteering involves climbing over rocks, swimming in the sea, and walking short distances between activity spots. If you can swim and are happy being active outdoors, you should be fine.
For the Explorer Package, more stamina is required because the session includes longer swims and more demanding sections of terrain. If you enjoy challenges and are comfortable in the water, it’s an excellent choice.
Yes, children aged 8+ can join the Discovery sessions, and it’s a great family-friendly activity. Kids love the mix of scrambling, swimming, and exploring the coast in a safe, supervised environment.
For Explorer sessions, the minimum age is 13 due to the higher jumps and faster pace. All children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult on either package to ensure proper supervision and support.
