Self-Drive Buggy Island Highlights & Three Beaches Tour

See more of Sint Maarten in one outing on a guided, self-drive buggy tour that combines coastal roads, viewpoints, and three of the island’s most well-known beaches. This experience is designed for relaxed sightseeing, swimming stops, and time off the vehicle, rather than constant driving.

The open-top buggy format keeps the route social and unhurried, making it a good option if you want to cover ground while still having time at the beach.

🌴 What to Expect

After meeting your guide, you’ll receive a safety briefing and an introduction to the buggy before setting off along coastal roads and scenic viewpoints. The route is designed to be straightforward to drive, with the guide leading throughout and stopping regularly for photos and short breaks. Driving sections are broken up by beach stops, keeping the experience balanced rather than vehicle-heavy.

The first stop is Orient Bay, where you’ll have free time to swim, walk the shoreline, or relax on the sand. This beach is known for its long stretch of open coastline and clear water, making it a good place to ease into the day. Time here is flexible, allowing you to choose how active or relaxed you want to be.

Next, you’ll continue to Mullet Bay, a wide, open beach close to the runway approach. Depending on conditions, you may see aircraft passing low overhead while enjoying time in the water or at the beach bar. The final stop is near Maho Beach, close to the airport, where planes can often be seen landing nearby. After the final stop, the group returns together to the starting point along the coast.

📍 Location

This tour operates across both the Dutch and French sides of Sint Maarten, linking beaches and viewpoints via coastal roads rather than inland traffic routes. The focus is on easy driving and accessible stops rather than technical terrain.

Cruise guests meet near the main port gates at AC Wathey Pier, while hotel and villa pickups are available from selected locations. Exact meeting details are confirmed in advance, and a small time allowance is built in for traffic or port delays.
