Take a 50cc, 125cc or three-wheeler and ride the island your way. Keep it for a half day, a full day or overnight, and start from Front Street or ask us to drop it to you in Philipsburg.
You pick the roads yourself. After a walk through the controls you leave when you are ready, with no convoy and no set stops. Stay on the Dutch-side coast, cut inland toward Cole Bay, or keep a short loop near town if you only want a couple of hours on two wheels.
If you are only on the island for a few hours from a ship, a half day is usually enough. A full day or overnight gives you room to reach both sides if you already ride well in traffic. Pickup and drop-off in Philipsburg are included. We take a deposit when you collect, and there are no hidden fuel or kit fees.
The shop on Front Street is a short walk from Great Bay and the cruise port, so the Dutch-side coast, the Cole Bay hills and town streets are all in easy reach. Mix coastal stretches with a bit of climbing, or stay close to Philipsburg if you want a gentler first ride.
Coming off a ship with only a few hours? A half day is the better fit. If you are staying longer and already happy in traffic, a full day or overnight gives you time to ride both sides of the island. You can walk from the port if you are not using delivery.
You should be comfortable on a scooter on public roads. This is hire, not a lesson, so you still need to feel confident if you have a passenger on the back. Staff talk you through operating the scooter, then you are free to ride off on your own.
Bring a valid licence if you need one for the scooter you book, and a card for the security deposit. If you have not ridden on the right-hand side of the road before, say so at handover so we can take a little longer.
The shop sits on Front Street, a short walk from the cruise port, and is run by people who know these roads. They are local guides to the quieter stretches of coast, not a big excursion desk watching the island from a coach.
The same team leads hill walks and guided rides when you want company. The point is a fun, safe, authentic day on Sint Maarten, designed around enjoyment rather than a packed itinerary.
Come to Front Street, or ask us to bring the scooter to you in Philipsburg. Staff walk you through the controls and when you need it back, then you sign for the deposit and you are free to go.
Pick a 50cc, 125cc or three-wheeler to match how you ride and whether you have a passenger. Single and double seats are available when we have them, so say what you need when you book.
Leave town when you are ready and follow the coast, head inland or keep a short loop close to Philipsburg. There is no convoy, so you decide where to stop and when to turn back.
Bring the scooter back to the agreed Philipsburg drop-off before your hire ends. The deposit is handled under the hire terms once the scooter is checked in.
Meet on Front Street in Philipsburg, unless you have asked us to bring the scooter to you in town. The shop is a short walk from the cruise port and Great Bay.
Bring a valid licence if you need one, closed shoes and a card for the security deposit. Confirm your pickup time after booking if you want the scooter brought to you.
Yes. You should be comfortable riding a scooter in traffic and on coastal roads. This is not a lesson and nobody rides with you after you leave.
If you have not ridden on the right-hand side of the road before, say so at handover and we will take a little longer before you leave Front Street.
We have 50cc scooters, 125cc scooters and a three-wheeler, plus single and double seats when they are available. Stock can change on busy ship days.
Ask when you book if you need a double seat or the three-wheeler, so we can hold the right scooter for you.
You can book a half day, a full day or overnight. If you are coming from a ship and only have a few hours, book a half day. A full day or overnight gives you time to ride farther from town.
We confirm your return time when you collect the scooter. Bring it back to the agreed Philipsburg point before that time.
Yes. Pickup and drop-off in Philipsburg are included, so you can start at the Front Street shop or ask us to bring the scooter to you in town.
If you are staying outside Philipsburg, ask before you book how far we deliver. The standard inclusion is Philipsburg only.
Yes. We take a security deposit when you collect the scooter and handle it under the hire terms when you bring it back. There are no hidden fees for fuel or equipment on top of the hire.
Bring a card we can hold. Ask about the amount when you book so you know what to expect at the shop.
Meet on Front Street in Philipsburg, a short walk from the cruise port and Great Bay. Most scooters are also returned there.
If you booked delivery in Philipsburg, we confirm the collection point after you book. Allow extra time if you are walking from a ship.
Yes, when we have a double seat available. Each hire is for one or two people per scooter. The person steering still needs to be confident in traffic.
Tell us you want a double seat when you book. A three-wheeler is another option if you prefer more stability.
Closed-toe shoes and clothes you can ride in for several hours. Sun cream and sunglasses help on open coastal roads.
Leave flip-flops in your bag. A light layer is useful if a shower passes through during a full-day hire.
Light rain can still be fine when the roads are safe. Heavy rain or strong wind can make riding uncomfortable or unsafe, especially on hills and wet paint in town.
If we need to move your hire, we will contact you. Do not ride if you are not happy with the conditions after the briefing.
No. You get a handover and then ride on your own. If you want a local leading a set route, book the guided scooter tour instead.
Self-ride hire is the better fit when you already ride well and want to choose your own stops and timing.

About the centre
Philipsburg
You'll find us on Front Street in Philipsburg, a short walk from the cruise port on the Dutch side of Sint Maarten. Local guides lead hikes on Sentry Hill and St Peters Hill, and a shop-front fleet of scooters is ready if you would rather explore the island at your own pace.
We'll brief you at the shop before you set off, whether you join a guided scooter tour or hire a scooter for the day. Trails stay on established routes above town, and the rental desk is set up for cruise-day timings as well as longer stays. Tell us how you want to spend the day and we'll help you choose the hike or ride that fits.
