You'll trade resort comfort for desert dust on this three-hour Sharm outing that joins an ATV loop, a camel stretch and a short Bedouin village stop. Collection from your hotel is included, so the day starts at reception rather than at an inland base you have to find yourself. The same guides stay with the group from the bikes through to the animals.
Throttle low at first, then steadier as the ATV convoy follows the guide across Sharm's inland dunes and rocky slopes. Sand flies from the tyres ahead and the line keeps tight through soft patches and open pans. The quad stretch sets a faster, dustier tone for the first part of the outing.
Slower rhythm returns when you mount camels and walk through the same desert with handlers at each animal's side. A short pause at a Bedouin settlement breaks up the afternoon with local faces and time to look around before loading up for the coast again. Engines, animals and a brief inland stop fit into one compact desert window.
Behind the Sharm El Sheikh hotel strip the ground opens into pale sand and rocky slopes. The safari stays on that inland desert rather than running along the beach or through the town. You leave the resort belt for tracked dunes and hill views, then return to the same hotel after the village pause.
Collection usually covers Naama Bay, Sharks Bay and neighbouring hotels. Distances along the strip mean pickup windows can stretch, so be ready early and wear clothes you can ride in from reception. Once you are back on the coast, the Red Sea and the hotel beaches sit a short walk from most properties, which is why many guests keep the rest of the day for swimming or a quieter afternoon by the water.
No previous ATV or camel experience is needed. Sitting on a moving bike over uneven sand and then on a camel, which stands and kneels with a rolling motion, should feel comfortable. Tell the guide if you have never ridden either, so they can place you in the line and set a pace first-timers can follow. Who drives an ATV and who rides as a passenger is a crew decision on the day, based on height, reach and how settled a rider is.
Closed shoes, long sleeves or a cover-up, and a scarf for dust work well. Keep the rest of the morning or afternoon free so the three-hour window is not squeezed around other plans. Mention ages when you confirm your place so the team can say whether a child should sit behind an adult. Contact-lens wearers often prefer glasses on this outing because grit in the air is normal on the loop.
Hotel collection and a three-hour mix of ATV, camel and a village stop keep the outing compact for a Sharm El Sheikh day. Guides stay with the group from the bikes to the animals rather than handing you between separate teams. The briefing at the base covers throttle, brakes and spacing before the group rolls out.
The Bedouin village pause is a short stop with local hosts, not a restaurant sitting, and it sits after the camel stretch so the three hours have a clear shape. Engines, a slower animal section and a brief inland visit come in one booking rather than separate outings. Helmets are used when the crew issue them at the base.
We'll collect you from your Sharm El Sheikh hotel and runs inland to the desert base. Be ready in the pickup window with closed shoes and a scarf. The transfer sits inside the three hours, so Arriving late at reception cuts into time on the sand.
After a short briefing you follow the guide on an ATV across tracked sand toward the rocky hills. Keep your spacing, watch the rider in front, and ease off the throttle on soft patches. First-timers stay in the line rather than leaving the marked route.
You switch to camels for a slower walk, then a short stop described as a Bedouin village visit. Handlers stay beside the animals as they stand and kneel. After photos and a pause with the hosts, the group loads for the drive back to the hotel.
Yes. Collection and return in the Sharm El Sheikh hotel area are part of this safari. Give your hotel name when you book so the driver can find the right gate, and be ready in the pickup window because the coast road can slow the van.
Most guests use the included transfer because the desert base sits inland from the resort strip. Making your own way only makes sense if you already have a car and the meeting point details.
No previous ATV time is required. You get a short briefing on throttle, brakes and spacing before the group rolls out, and the guide sets a pace first-timers can follow on tracked sand.
If you would rather not drive, say so at the base. A passenger seat on a two-up bike is often possible when the crew have a spare place. Children who cannot reach the controls should not be assumed as solo drivers.
The camel stretch is the slower middle of the three hours, not a full safari on an animal. It sits after the ATV loop, with a Bedouin village stop and time for photos before you load for the return.
Camels kneel to let you on and stand with a rolling motion. Hold the saddle and wait for the handler. If sitting astride is uncomfortable, tell the guide before you mount.
This Sharm product names a Bedouin village on the route. The Marsa Alam three-hour ATV-and-camel safari is a different hub, with tea and water at a rest stop rather than that village stop.
Choose this outing if you are staying in Sharm El Sheikh. Use the Marsa Alam listing if that is where your hotel is. They are not interchangeable pickups.
Closed shoes, long sleeves or a light cover-up, and a scarf for dust make the ATV section more comfortable. Shorts and flip-flops leave skin open to sun and sand thrown up by the tyres.
Sunglasses with a strap and sunscreen matter on both the bikes and the camel. Leave loose jewellery in the hotel. A small bag is useful in the transfer vehicle, not bouncing loose on the ATV.
Who drives an ATV and who rides as a passenger is a crew decision on the day, based on height, reach and how settled a child is on a moving bike.
Mention ages when you confirm your place so the team can say whether a child should sit behind an adult. The camel section is usually easier for younger guests than the ATV drive.
No. this outing is ATV and camel. The horse-and-quad safari from Sharm El Sheikh is a separate product with horses instead of camels and a different price.
Keep this one if you want bikes and a camel. Use the horse-and-quad listing if a horse section is what you are after from the same hub.
Tracked sand throws dust, especially if you sit behind another bike. A scarf over the nose and mouth and glasses with a strap help. Helmets are used when the crew issue them at the base.
Rinse faces and kit when you are back at the hotel. Contact-lens wearers often prefer glasses on this outing because grit in the air is normal on the loop.
There is a short stop at a Bedouin village after the ATV and camel sections. Treat it as a pause with local hosts rather than a long cultural workshop or a meal.
Lunch is not included. Eat around the three-hour window so you are not relying on the village stop for food.
Three hours covers collection, the ATV loop, the camel stretch, the village stop and the drive back. Arriving late at reception cuts into time on the sand because the group leaves together.
Morning and afternoon slots may both run depending on the day. Choose the window that fits the rest of your plans and carry extra water if you take the hotter slot.
