Grab your bow, check your surroundings, and prepare to take on a zombie outbreak hidden deep in Dorset’s woodland. This isn’t your typical archery session—this is instinctive, free-roaming 3D archery where you’ll sharpen your aim and test your nerve against lifelike undead targets in a rustic, off-grid woodland.
Start the session with expert guidance in traditional archery, learning to shoot without sights or gimmicks—just you, your bow, and your target. After a warm-up to dial in your aim, you’ll be introduced to instinctive shooting techniques and practice hitting targets from different angles, distances, and elevations. This part of the session gets you comfortable with your bow before the real adventure begins.
Next, it’s time to hunt. Step quietly into the trees and navigate your way through our 3D archery course, keeping your eyes peeled for zombie targets hidden throughout the woodland. Some shots are straightforward, others ask for creativity—behind cover, through gaps, up hills or down slopes. With a mix of solo focus and team encouragement, it’s an unforgettable experience that blends excitement, skill-building and storytelling in the forest.
You’ll be based in a secluded woodland range just outside Tolpuddle, Dorset—around 30 minutes from Bournemouth, Weymouth and Swanage. The site is completely rustic with no man-made paths, offering a properly off-grid feel as you move through the woods from target to target.
Facilities include a composting toilet, drinking water refills, and covered seating—but this is very much an outdoor experience. Expect uneven ground, tree roots, and changing light as you walk between ranges. Once you’re here, it’ll feel like you’ve left the everyday behind.
No archery experience is needed to take part. Everything you need to know will be explained at the start, and instructors are on-hand throughout. You’ll need to be comfortable walking through a natural woodland for up to 3 hours. Some crouching and shooting from different body positions is involved, but this can be adapted depending on ability.
A minimum of 4 people are required to run the session. If booking for fewer, we’ll do our best to pair you up with others. All equipment is provided. Please wear closed-toe footwear, long trousers, and outdoor clothing suitable for the weather. A refillable water bottle and any personal medication are also advised.
This experience is delivered by a small team of passionate instructors who specialise in unique, outdoor sessions across the Dorset area. The woodland setting is hand-built and designed to work in harmony with the natural environment, offering a more personal and imaginative alternative to commercial activity parks.
You’ll get quality coaching, plenty of freedom to explore and a proper dose of fresh air—all backed by excellent kit and a warm welcome. Small group sizes mean you get more time on target, more movement, and no standing around waiting your turn. It’s exciting, a bit silly, and just the right amount of challenge for something different with friends, family or your next celebration.
