Enjoy a private sunset sailing experience along Zanzibar’s northern coastline aboard a 41-foot luxury catamaran. Departing from Kendwa Beach, this relaxed evening cruise offers panoramic views of the Indian Ocean while you enjoy drinks, light snacks and music as the sun sets over the water.
The experience begins on Kendwa Beach where guests meet the captain and crew before boarding the catamaran directly from the shore. Once onboard, the crew provides a short introduction before the boat sails along Zanzibar’s northern coast.
The catamaran travels toward Nungwi, a nearby coastal area known for clear water and wide ocean views. Guests can relax on the shaded lounge areas or lie on the front nets of the catamaran while enjoying drinks from the open bar.
As sunset approaches, the captain slows the vessel or anchors in a calm offshore location to allow guests to watch the sun drop toward the horizon. The changing colours across the ocean and sky create ideal conditions for photographs.
After sunset, the catamaran sails back toward Kendwa Beach where the cruise ends.
Kendwa Beach is located on Zanzibar’s northern coast and is known for its wide sandy shoreline and calm water conditions. It is one of the island’s main departure points for sailing trips.
Nungwi lies just to the north and offers clear views across the Indian Ocean, making the coastline particularly well suited for sunset cruises.
No sailing experience is required. Guests simply need to be comfortable spending time onboard a boat during an evening cruise.
The catamaran is not wheelchair accessible and strollers are not permitted. Infants must sit on a lap and infant seats are unavailable. The experience is not recommended for pregnant travellers.
Operating across multiple destinations and having welcomed more than 50,000 travellers, this team focuses on organised marine experiences led by professional captains and crew.
