Join us for a two-day adventure along Devon and Cornwall's coastline, with an overnight in a cosy bell tent at Stones and Stars glamping on the Rame Peninsula. You'll sail aboard Bounty, explore Cawsand and Kingsand from the water, and wake to breakfast before the return voyage across Plymouth Sound.
This is a two-day sail-and-camp adventure: one night in bell tents at Stones and Stars after a coastal voyage from Mount Batten. Conrad skippers Bounty through Plymouth Sound toward Cawsand, Kingsand and the Rame Peninsula while you crew as much or as little as you like.
Full timings, village stops and what each day feels like are in the itinerary below. You return to Mount Batten on day two after breakfast, with hands-on sailing, glamping comfort and stories from Conrad woven through the whole trip.
Mount Batten is your start and finish inside Plymouth Sound National Marine Park, with the overnight at Stones and Stars on the Rame Peninsula between sails. From the water you see why this stretch of coast has drawn sailors for centuries: open Sound, hidden coves and the Cornish shore opening up as Bounty works along the coastline.
Stones and Stars sits on the peninsula with views from tent and deck, a short step from the villages we explore during the voyage. Free parking is available at Mount Batten; our boat club lies on the south-west coast path by the northern slipway, about 50 metres from Mount Batten Watersports Centre.
Guests aged twelve and over are welcome, and no sailing experience is required. Conrad and the crew manage the boat while you join in as much or as little as you like, and we brief and fit Spinlock lifejackets before we leave the pontoon.
Bring an overnight bag with toiletries and any personal camping comforts you prefer; the bell tents include comfortable beds and solar power, and breakfast is included on the second morning. If you have medical, mobility or allergy considerations, tell us when you book so we can look after you on the water and ashore.
Bounty & Hope pairs a timeless classic boat with nights under the stars: you crew the same Mutiny replica that crossed the Pacific in Conrad's televised voyage, then sleep in proper glamping rather than roughing it on a beach. It is sailing and camping without sacrificing comfort, led by a skipper who has raced round the world and still loves introducing newcomers to the helm.
We keep the group between four and seven so the boat and the camp both feel like yours, Bounty is MCA Category 4 licensed, and every guest wears offshore-grade Spinlock kit. Guests tell us Conrad's stories make adventure feel within reach; we built this itinerary for friends, couples and groups who want memories, not just a tick on a bucket list.
Set sail from Mount Batten across Plymouth Sound with Conrad Humphreys at the helm. You explore Cawsand and Kingsand from the water, take the helm or trim the sails if you wish, and reach Stones and Stars on the Rame Peninsula in good time to settle into camp.
Evening at Stones and Stars glamping brings beautifully outfitted bell tents with comfortable beds and solar power. You unwind under canvas with coastal views after a full day on the water, with the crew nearby if you need anything practical before nightfall.
Breakfast on the second morning sets you up for the return sail to Mount Batten. Coastal views and time on deck let you reflect on the stone-and-stars adventure while Conrad and the crew handle the navigation back into Plymouth Sound.
We meet at Bounty & Hope Boat Club on the Mount Batten waterfront, about 50 metres from Mount Batten Watersports Centre on the south-west coast path. Free parking is available on site at the Mount Batten Centre; register your vehicle when you arrive so harbour staff know you are with us.
Your two-day voyage starts and ends at this pontoon. Allow time before departure for your safety briefing, lifejacket fitting and stowing overnight bags on Bounty before we cast off across Plymouth Sound toward Cawsand, Kingsand and Stones and Stars.

About the centre
Plymouth
After 25 years of offshore racing and three trips round the world, Conrad Humphreys founded Bounty & Hope to offer premium sailing aboard Bounty, the replica launch from Channel 4's Mutiny, from Mount Batten inside Plymouth Sound National Marine Park. Guests crew a small boat on open water, swap screens for sea air, and explore Drake's Island, the Tamar and Lynher rivers, and Cornwall's coast on hands-on voyages.
Conrad literally shows you the ropes and helps you get stuck in, as guest Josh Hoole put it. We sail where more than 1,000 marine species and historic wrecks lie under the keel, with Mount Edgcumbe, Royal William Yard and the Hoe on the horizon. Bounty is MCA Category 4 licensed for up to seven guests; Hope carries four. Two Red Paddleboards can be hired on selected experiences.
