Your group gets a private raft on the Vjosa River with certified guides, flexible pacing and a route that blends calm stretches with more active sections. You'll meet at our riverside base in Përmet in southern Albania, on one of Europe's last wild rivers inside the national park.
You'll start at the riverside base in Përmet where staff welcome your group, fit life jackets, helmets and wetsuits, and explain paddle commands and river safety. A short transfer then takes you to the put in for your dedicated raft away from a fixed public timetable.
On the water your group paddles through scenic sections with wide riverbeds, clear water and natural landscapes while guides set a flexible pace to match your energy. There is time to pause for photos, swim when conditions allow and simply enjoy the surroundings at your own rhythm.
After the run you'll return to base to dry off, enjoy drinking water and seasonal fruit, and collect free photos and videos from the river. Staff help you change and are happy to suggest things to explore in Përmet after you're off the water.
The Vjosa is one of Europe's last wild rivers, flowing freely through wide valleys and clear pools below mountain ridges near Përmet. Private routes combine manageable rapids with calmer stretches inside the national park landscape, giving your group room to spread out on the water.
Përmet sits in southern Albania between Gjirokastër and the Albanian Riviera, making a river day easy to combine with heritage towns and mountain drives in the region. The riverside base offers free parking, changing rooms and secure storage so your group can arrive together and kit up efficiently.
No rafting experience is required and guides tailor the pace and route to your group after the safety briefing at base. Children must meet the minimum age on the day and fit the life jackets provided on site.
Basic mobility to enter and exit the raft with assistance is needed, along with comfort getting splashed on rapids during the run. You should be happy following paddle commands in English or Albanian as directed by your private guide crew on the river.
The private format keeps your raft to yourselves with guides who adjust the pace to your group rather than a fixed public departure time. Full equipment, base facilities and river transport are all included so you can focus on your own river day.
Operating since 2012 on the Vjosa, the team pairs thorough safety briefings with free photo and video coverage so you leave with memories as well as splashy stories. Private trips suit birthdays, friend groups and families who want the boat and the guide attention entirely to themselves.
