You'll meet at our riverside base in Përmet in southern Albania, where the team has operated since 2012 inside the Vjosa Wild River National Park.
You'll start at the riverside base in Përmet where staff fit life jackets, helmets and wetsuits and explain paddle commands and river safety. A short transfer then takes you to the put in on a section with livelier white water than the gentlest family routes on the Vjosa.
On the water you paddle as a team through exciting rapids and clear pools with splashy sections and scenic pauses for photos. Guides keep the group coordinated while you enjoy the national park landscape from the river, coaching first timers through the livelier stretches after the briefing.
After the run you'll return to base to dry off, enjoy drinking water and seasonal fruit, and collect free photos and videos from the river. Staff help you change and are happy to suggest things to explore in Përmet after you're off the water.
The Vjosa flows freely through wide valleys and turquoise pools below mountain ridges near Përmet inside the national park. This route uses livelier rapids than the easy standard group trip while remaining accessible after the safety briefing at base.

Solo travellers, couples, families and small groups join a shared raft on scheduled departures up to 15 participants. Group sizes vary with demand on the day.
If you want the raft to yourselves, ask us about a private trip for your group. Get in touch before you book if you are travelling in a larger party.
Wear swimwear or quick drying clothing under the wetsuit provided on site. Bring water shoes or secure sandals that can get wet, a towel and a full change of clothes for after the river.
Sun protection such as a hat and sunscreen is recommended, along with a reusable water bottle. Leave valuables in secure storage at the base.
