Once on the water, the route follows a peaceful stretch of river bordered by dense river forest. White willows, poplars and tamarinds line the banks, creating a sheltered environment where storks, kingfishers and grey herons are often spotted. Fish such as mullet, sea bass and gilt-head bream are commonly seen beneath the surface, especially in the shallower sections.
The paddle is short and manageable, making it ideal for families, dog owners, or anyone wanting a gentle introduction to kayaking in the Ebro Delta Natural Park. The route concludes at the jetty in Sant Jaume d'Enveja, where there’s time to relax by the water before heading off.
