Experience a relaxed and uplifting parasailing flight that offers panoramic views over Malta’s coastline. Launch directly from a dedicated vessel and enjoy around 10 minutes in the air, taking in St George’s Bay, Sliema, and Valletta from 550 feet above the water. This session includes professional guidance and complimentary photos and video, making it an accessible option for beginners and families.
The activity lasts up to an hour in total, depending on the number of participants. It’s a calm, enjoyable aerial experience rather than an extreme ride, suitable for anyone with a basic comfort level at height.
Your session begins at the jetty behind the Verdi St George’s Bay Marina Hotel, where staff guide you through check-in and the pre-flight briefing. You’ll board the vessel and head out to a suitable launch point, allowing the captain to assess wind direction, sea state, and the safest flight configuration for the group. Once clipped into the harness, you gradually lift away from the deck, rising smoothly into the air.
During the flight, you ascend to approximately 550 feet, giving wide, open views of the surrounding coastline. You’ll see St Julian’s, Sliema, Valletta, and the open Mediterranean from above while maintaining a stable, secure position under the canopy. The captain controls the height and descent to ensure a comfortable experience for all participants. After landing gently back on the deck, your harness is removed and the boat returns to the marina.
The departure point is the jetty directly behind the Verdi St George’s Bay Marina Hotel on Ix-Xatt Ta’ San Ġorġ. Access is via the black iron gate next to the underground parking entrance. From there, follow the marked yellow line down the ramp to the dock where boats and jet skis are berthed. This area can get busy, so arriving early ensures smooth preparation.
The flight itself takes place above the waters around St Julian’s, with views extending across the eastern coast. This location gives consistent wind patterns and reliable visibility, making it one of the best parasailing areas in Malta. The sheltered nature of the bay often supports stable launches and gentle landings.
Guests must arrive at least 15 minutes before departure to complete the briefing and preparation. The boat leaves before the advertised flight time, and late arrivals cannot be accommodated. Participants should be in good physical health without back issues, heart conditions, mobility restrictions, or vertigo.
Children aged 5 and above may fly when accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Group flights of two or three may be permitted depending on combined weight, wind strength, and the captain’s assessment. The final decision always rests with the captain to ensure safety.
This parasailing experience offers one of the most accessible ways to see Malta from above, combining professional guidance with high-quality photos and video so you can enjoy the flight without worrying about capturing the moment. The setup is designed for comfort, making it suitable for complete beginners and family groups.
Departing directly from St George’s Bay means short prep times, clear take-off paths, and reliable conditions. The team prioritises safety through a strict briefing, controlled launch procedures, and real-time assessment from the captain, ensuring a smooth flight from start to finish.
