Gather your mates, a birthday group, or a stag or hen party and give them two hours of indoor paintball in Portadown. We'll get you into overalls, run a proper safety briefing, and send you into the covered arena for mission games that actually keep everyone moving.
Once you are in overalls, a mask, and a marker, marshals talk you through safe distances, what happens when you are hit, and the game modes for the session. This is high-velocity paintball, so a hit can sting, and the mask stays on from the moment you leave the lobby. The briefing is short and clear, then the group walks into the arena together so nobody is still figuring out the rules mid-game.
From there you play team missions for two hours, ducking behind cover, pushing an objective, and resetting between rounds. The 300-ball package is a solid first load if you want enough paint without overdoing it. The 500-ball package suits a group that wants a longer run of fire. If you empty a hopper, extra paint can be added during a break, then you jump straight back into the next game.
Games happen inside a historic mill at 10 Bleary Road, Portadown, BT63 5NE. You stay under cover from kit issue through the last game, so the weather outside does not get a vote on whether you play.
County Armagh is an easy run from Belfast on the M1, around 25 minutes in normal traffic, and both city airports sit a short hop away. Follow the signs for the indoor combat centre once you reach Bleary Road, then come in for check-in. Give yourself a few extra minutes at the weekend so parking and kit issue do not eat into your game time.
You need to be 14 or over, able to move around the arena, and happy to wear full face protection for the whole session. No previous paintball experience is required. We include the kit and talk you through the rules before anyone takes a shot.
Groups need 6 to 50 players so the missions feel like proper team games. This session is aimed at older teens and adults, because high-velocity paint can hurt when it lands. If you want a softer version for a younger crowd, splat is the better fit.
The mill itself dates back to 1619, when the site was part of the local linen industry, and trained marshals now run every paintball session inside it. Rain, wind, or a dark evening does not stop play, because the arena is fully indoors.
You pick a 300 or 500 ball package for the same two-hour slot, then spend the gaps between games in the lobby with coffee, hot food, and snacks. It is a simple day out for groups coming from the city who want a proper paint session without standing in a muddy field.
Meet at 10 Bleary Road, Portadown, BT63 5NE. The indoor arena is about 25 minutes from Belfast via the M1. Follow signs for the combat centre once you reach Bleary Road.
Every package includes protective kit, a marker, a safety briefing, marshals, and two hours in the indoor arena. The 300-ball option includes 300 paintballs. The 500-ball option includes 500 paintballs.
Food and drinks in the lobby are extra. Transport to the meeting point is not included. Extra paint is available on the day if you run out.
Yes. This is high-velocity paintball and can be painful when you are hit. Players should know that before they arrive, especially if someone in the group is trying paintball for the first time.
If you want a lower-impact version for younger players, choose the splat session instead. That uses low-velocity paint and is aimed at ages 7 and over.
Players need to be 14 or over. Everyone on the field wears full face protection for the whole session, and marshals will stop play if a mask comes off.
No previous paintball experience is required. The briefing covers the rules before anyone steps into the arena, so first-timers can join an older group.
Yes. Paintball groups need at least 6 players. That keeps the missions working as team games rather than a handful of people on a large indoor field.
If your group is smaller and still wants a combat session, ask us about splat or airsoft walk-on options before you choose this activity.
Paintball sessions last two hours, including briefing, games, and short breaks to reload. You stay in the building for the whole slot.
Arrive a little early so check-in and kit issue do not eat into your game time. Weekend slots can be busy, so leave time to park and walk in.
Yes. The arena is fully indoors, so rain, wind, or a dark evening does not stop play. You stay under cover from check-in through the last game.
Wear old clothes under the overalls. Paint still finds cuffs and shoes, so do not wear anything you care about.
Meet at 10 Bleary Road, Portadown, BT63 5NE. The indoor arena is inside the mill building on that road, and marshals will point you to check-in when you arrive.
It is about 25 minutes from Belfast via the M1. Allow extra time at the weekend so you are ready for the briefing rather than walking in late.
Yes. Extra paint is available on the day if you run through your package. Bring a card or cash so you can top up during a break without leaving the building.
The 300-ball package is the usual first-timer load. Choose 500 balls if your group wants more firing time across the two hours.
Wear old clothes you do not mind getting paint on, plus closed-toe trainers or boots. Overalls go over the top, but cuffs, hair, and shoes still pick up colour.
A spare top in the car is useful if someone wants a dry layer for the journey home. Leave valuables you do not want near paint in the lobby.
Yes. The lobby has coffee, hot food, and snacks between games. Those are extra and chosen on the day if you want them.
Bring a bottle of water as well so you can drink during breaks. You can pick up more in the lobby if you run out.
