This course enhances the skills acquired during the Junior Open Water course, offering a blend of adventure and education. Over the course of a weekend, participants will engage in five adventure dives, allowing them to refine their diving abilities while exploring various diving techniques. Designed for those who have recently completed their Junior Open Water course, this programme provides a fantastic opportunity to elevate confidence and competence in the water.
The course consists of five adventure dives, each focusing on essential skills and various diving styles. Under the close supervision of qualified PADI instructors, participants will undertake a deep dive, which is crucial for understanding the nuances of deeper water environments. In addition, divers will engage in three additional adventure dives tailored to their interests, such as dry suit diving, underwater photography, drift diving, peak performance buoyancy, wreck diving, and the use of a surface marker buoy (SMB).
Each adventure dive not only serves to improve specific skills but also counts towards the corresponding PADI Specialty Diver course, setting participants on a path to become a Master Scuba Diver. The immersive weekend experience ensures that participants leave with enhanced abilities and a greater understanding of the underwater world.
The course takes place over two distinct sites. Mercers Lake is an ideal location for beginners and intermediate divers, offering a safe and shallow environment for practice. Here, participants can master skills such as dry suit usage and navigation.
On the second day, the group will transition to St. Andrews, a deeper inland dive site that provides year-round diving opportunities in various weather conditions.
To participate in this course, individuals must have completed their PADI Junior Open Water certification. Participants should possess basic diving skills and be comfortable in the water.
The course is specifically designed for young divers aged 12-14, making it a suitable next step for those eager to advance their diving journey.
Choosing this centre guarantees a high-quality learning experience facilitated by experienced PADI professionals. Our instructors are dedicated to providing personalised attention, ensuring each participant develops their skills in a safe and supportive environment.

Having not dived for 5 years I was worried that I did not know how to set up the kit and do the dive basics. This course was perfect. I was able to ask all the questions I wanted and the instructor was calm and positive. I completed the course…
