Stay warm and dive all year round with our dry suit course. This course is perfect for divers who want to extend their diving season and remain comfortable in cooler waters. Learn how to use a dry suit and enjoy longer underwater explorations without the discomfort of cold.
The PADI Dry Suit Course starts with an orientation in shallow confined water. This initial session covers the different types of dry suits available and how to use them effectively. You will learn the basics of dry suit diving, including how to maintain buoyancy control and handle emergencies. This hands-on approach ensures you are comfortable and confident before progressing to open water dives.
Once you have mastered these skills, you will proceed to two open water dives. These dives are conducted at Mercers Lake, Chepstow, or possibly during one of our club trips. Throughout these dives, you will apply the skills learned in confined water, gaining real-world experience in a controlled and safe environment. By the end of the course, you will be adept at using a dry suit and ready to dive in cooler conditions with ease.
Our dry suit courses are held at various open water locations, including Mercers Lake and St. Andrews.
These sites provide the perfect setting to practice and perfect your dry suit diving skills, offering both convenience and a controlled environment.

Having not dived for 5 years I was worried that I did not know how to set up the kit and do the dive basics. This course was perfect. I was able to ask all the questions I wanted and the instructor was calm and positive. I completed the course…
