This unique half-day cycling experience takes you through Richmond Park, the largest Royal Park in London, where deer roam freely. A short train trip from Central London brings you to this old walled royal hunting ground. You’ll cycle along scenic routes, pass historic landmarks, and enjoy stunning views, making this tour perfect for those who love both history and nature.
Your morning tour begins at 10am at Richmond Station, where you'll set off on a scenic ride along the River Thames. As you cycle, you'll pass Turner's famous view of the Thames, Ted Lasso filming locations, and the National Trust's Ham House. The journey continues into Richmond Park, where you'll cycle through vast landscapes, spotting both red and fallow deer and passing the old royal hunting lodge. You’ll stop for lunch, either at a local pub (not included) or enjoy a picnic in the park (brought by yourself ). After lunch, you’ll cycle back along the Thames Path to finish at Richmond at 2 pm approx. Enjoy a riverside pub or take the train 1 stop to Kew Botanic Gardens if you wish.
Evening tours are also available suggested time is 4 pm-7.30 pm (just a stop for a pub drink)

The tour covers approximately 16 km (10 miles) and lasts about 4 hours. The terrain is mostly flat, making it suitable for all fitness levels, with frequent stops to take in the sights and explore Richmond Park.

You can take the train 1 stop to Kew Gardens, we can cycle there but an extra fee is charged.
Yes, the tour is suitable for families, and children aged 10 and above can participate as long as they are comfortable cycling this distance and terrain. PThe route is relatively flat and scenic, making it a great option for a family outing. As these are private tours, we can offer more flexibility with start times and stops along the way to cater to younger children.
Richmond Station is located in Zone 4 and can be reached via the District Line (Underground) or by train from London Waterloo. The journey takes about 30-40 minutes from Central London. Please ensure you arrive on time to meet the group at 10am.
We operate in most weather conditions, and a little rain can make the park and the deer sightings even more atmospheric! If heavy rain or severe weather is forecast, we will contact you in advance to either reschedule or offer a refund.
Richmond Park is home to around 600 red and fallow deer, which roam freely throughout the park. While deer sightings are common, they are wild animals, so we cannot guarantee how close they will be during the tour.
