Explore the clear waters of North Sardinia on a relaxed catamaran outing designed for small groups. This experience offers time to swim, unwind, and enjoy an aperitif on board while taking in the natural beauty of the islands.
Your time on the water begins with a gentle departure from Porto Pozzo, heading towards the islands of the La Maddalena Archipelago. As you move away from the mainland, the water becomes noticeably clearer, and the route opens up to a series of islands and quiet bays. The skipper will choose the most suitable locations on the day, taking into account sea conditions to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience.
Throughout the trip, there will be stops in sheltered coves where you can enter the water for a swim or snorkel. These areas are known for their calm conditions and good visibility, making them ideal for simply floating, exploring beneath the surface, or cooling off between time spent on deck. Snorkelling equipment is available on board, so you can make the most of each stop without needing to bring your own.
As the experience continues, you’ll be served a Sardinian-style aperitif with drinks, giving you time to relax and enjoy the surroundings from the comfort of the boat. The atmosphere remains easy-going, with space to stretch out, take photos, or sit back and enjoy the views as you move between locations before returning to the starting point.
This experience departs from Porto Pozzo, a peaceful coastal area located close to Palau in North Sardinia. The setting offers direct access to the La Maddalena Archipelago without the need to pass through busy harbours, allowing for a smoother start to the trip. The surrounding coastline features a mix of rocky formations and small sandy inlets, many of which are only accessible by boat.
The La Maddalena Archipelago is a protected marine park made up of several islands, each with its own character. Areas such as Spargi and Budelli are known for their clear, shallow waters and quiet anchor points. Travelling by catamaran allows you to reach these locations comfortably, while enjoying a different perspective of the coastline throughout the journey.
No previous experience is required to take part in this activity. The environment on board is relaxed, and the route is chosen to suit general conditions on the day. Participants should feel comfortable being on the water and able to get in and out of the sea using the boat’s access points if they wish to swim.
You’ll need to bring swimwear, a towel, sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat for sun protection. A light jacket or windbreaker is recommended, particularly outside of the warmer months or during breezier conditions. Comfortable footwear such as flip-flops or soft-soled shoes is suitable for use on board.
The focus is on keeping each trip personal and uncrowded, with a maximum of eight guests on board. This allows for a more comfortable experience where everyone has space to relax, move around freely, and enjoy each stop without feeling restricted by larger group sizes.
Routes are planned with a local understanding of the area, helping to reach quieter bays and avoid busier sections of the archipelago. The overall pace is unhurried, giving you time to fully enjoy swimming spots, take in the scenery, and make the most of your time on the water.
