Spend a full day exploring Isla Catalina on a guided boat tour from Punta Cana. Snorkel at the famous El Muro coral wall, relax on white-sand beaches and enjoy a beachfront buffet lunch with drinks. With hotel pickup and shared boat transport included, this tour provides a straightforward way to experience one of the Dominican Republic’s most popular island destinations.
Your day begins with pickup from hotels in Punta Cana or Bávaro. Guests are transported by air-conditioned vehicle to La Romana Marina, where the boat departs for Isla Catalina.
The first stop is El Muro, a well-known coral wall where the seabed drops steeply into deeper water. This reef attracts a variety of tropical fish and marine life. Guests receive snorkeling equipment and life jackets, and a certified guide assists during the snorkeling session.
After the snorkeling stop, the boat continues to Isla Catalina. Guests typically spend more than three hours on the island enjoying the beach. You can swim in the shallow water, relax on the sand or snorkel again from the shore.
Around midday, a buffet lunch is served in a beachfront setting. The meal usually includes chicken, pork, pasta, rice, salads and fruit, with drinks such as water, soda and rum available during lunch.
After the beach time ends, the boat returns to La Romana Marina and guests are transported back to their hotels.
Isla Catalina lies off the southeastern coast of the Dominican Republic near La Romana. The island forms part of Cotubanamá National Park and is known for its coral reefs and calm Caribbean waters.
