A full boat day from Sharm El Sheikh centres on guided Red Sea reef dives, with lunch on deck between stops. Hotel pickup is included, and the eight-hour outing is built for certified divers who want a proper reef day rather than a first-time intro in the shallows.
The deck rocks gently as the first reef site comes into view and the sea flattens into a deep blue sheet beneath the hull. Descents follow a calm briefing rhythm, with coral walls and busy fish life opening up the moment you drop below the surface.
Between dives the boat holds a quieter pace, with lunch on deck and sun on your shoulders while fellow divers swap stories. A second site brings fresh reef character when conditions allow, so the day feels like two distinct underwater chapters rather than a repeat of the same profile.
Sharm El Sheikh sits on the southern tip of the Sinai Peninsula, with sheltered bays and reefs a short run from the marina. This day stays on the water rather than in the desert, so the scenery is coral, clear sea and the desert hills behind the coast.
Pickup covers hotels in the Sharm El Sheikh area. The boat works the local reefs, which keeps the day to about eight hours including collection. Exact sites shift with conditions, which is normal for a daily diving day on this coast.
You should hold a scuba certification and be ready to dive with a guide on Red Sea reefs. Bring your cert card. The minimum age is 6, though who dives still depends on certification and comfort in the sea.
You should be happy on a boat, climbing a ladder with kit, and spending a full day in sun and salt. If you have not dived for a long time, say so at the briefing so the guide can keep the first dive steady. This is not a pool lesson or a shallow intro for someone who has never used a regulator.
You'll get a proper daily boat day: hotel pickup, paired guided dives, lunch, and back within about eight hours. You are diving Sinai reef with a guide who briefs each site, not following a sightseeing circuit on land.
Lunch is built into the surface interval so the day has a clear rhythm. If you want certified diving from Sharm El Sheikh without adding a named island itinerary, this is the trip that fits.
The day is set at about eight hours from hotel collection to return. That window covers pickup in Sharm El Sheikh, the boat run to the reefs, two dives with a surface interval, lunch, and the journey back to the hotel strip.
Exact clock times shift with sea state, which site is chosen, and how long the group needs between dives. Allow the full day in your plan and keep the evening loosely free until you are back at the hotel.
Yes. Hotel pickup in the Sharm El Sheikh area is included. You will be given a collection window so you can wait in reception with your cert card, swimwear and a dry layer ready.
Stay in the pickup area until the crew arrive, because the marina is not a walk from most hotels. If your stay is outside the usual hotel zone, say so when you enquire so the team can confirm whether collection still applies.
This day is two guided dives from a boat, aimed at divers who already hold a scuba certification and can dive with a guide on Red Sea reefs. Bring your cert card and, if you use one, your logbook, so the crew can check you in before you kit up.
If you have never dived before, this is not a first-breath intro in the shallows. Choose an intro format instead, where the briefing and the in-water time are built for a first go rather than two independent dives.
Yes. Two dives are included, at more than one reef site when conditions allow. Sites are chosen on the day from the Sharm El Sheikh coast and nearby reefs, based on wind, swell and who is on the boat.
You are not promised a named wreck or a specific fish. Treat the day as two guided dives on healthy Red Sea coral, with a surface interval and lunch between them. The guide will brief each site before you enter.
Yes. A freshly prepared lunch is part of this day, eaten on the boat or at a calm surface stop while you look at the coast. It sits in the surface interval so you are not diving on a heavy stomach.
Tell the team your dietary needs when you enquire and treat that as a request rather than a guarantee. Bring a refillable bottle if you like your own water. Extra snacks from the hotel are useful if you eat lightly.
The minimum age is 6. Who enters the water still depends on comfort in the sea. Who enters the water still depends on certification, comfort in the sea, and how the crew set the day.
Younger guests who are not diving may still be on the boat if the crew agree, but this day is a two-dive day rather than a family snorkel. Bring sun protection and a dry layer for time on deck between dives.
This outing runs for groups of 1 to 15 guests. You may share the boat with other divers on the same departure, which is normal for a daily boat day out of Sharm El Sheikh.
The crew brief each dive as a group, then you follow the guide in the water. If you want a quieter ratio, say so when you enquire. The format is still two dives and lunch, not a private charter unless that is arranged separately.
Boat diving needs good sea conditions. Strong wind, swell or poor visibility can change which reefs you visit, delay the start, or in unusual weather stop the day from running as planned.
You will be told as early as practical if the plan has to change. Bring a layer for the boat, and treat the Red Sea as open water rather than a pool. The aim is still two guided dives and lunch when the sea allows.
Wear swimwear under clothes you do not mind getting damp, plus a dry layer and sun protection for the boat. Closed shoes or sandals that grip help on a wet deck. A towel and a small dry bag keep your cert card and phone safe.
If you have your own mask that fits well, bring it. Tanks and the dive plan are provided as part of the two-dive day. Leave jewellery you care about in the hotel safe, and use reef-safe sun cream well before you enter the water.
Sites are chosen on the day from the reefs off Sharm El Sheikh, not locked to a single named bay. That lets the skipper work with wind and current rather than forcing a poor site.
You can still expect typical Sinai reef: coral walls, sandy patches and the fish that use them. If you have a site you hope for, mention it when you enquire, but treat the two dives as a condition-led plan rather than a fixed itinerary.
